1. Swipe guestures in UT
Ubuntu Touch does not (yet?) support hardware buttons for back or app spread functions. UT is guesture based. In general: swiping from the edges basically will do most stuff needed.

Swipe from left brings up launcher and drawer. Bonus feature: a four finger tap on the desktop does open the drawer and activates the search.

Long swipe from right opens the app spread. Short swipe from right changes between open apps.

Swipe from bottom reveals some additional pages in some apps.

Also this is a great short video explaining most of the swipes. Mind that staged mode is only available on larger screen devices.
2. How to unlock your device
UT has a lock screen just like most other mobile devices. Push left or right on the screen. If configured, you will get prompted for your pin/password. Then you will enter the main screen.
3. How to lock your device
a) press the power button
b) don't touch your device for a while. The screen will lock itself after the time period specified in system settings.

- open UT Tweak Tool
- in the hamburger menu (top left) select 'system'
- tap on ' install click package'
- select a file with the ' Pick...' button
- press 'Install' to install the app

3. via Terminal app (Xenial aka 16.04 only)

5. How to make a screenshot
option 1: press volume up and volume down simultaneously
option 2: press & hold the power button and select "screenshot" in the dialog
option 3: in system indicator select "switch off...", this opens the same dialog as in option 2, select "screenshot" in the dialog
6. How do I pin an app to the launcher (left side app bar)?
Open the app from the drawer. With the app still open, swipe from the left side until you see the launcher. Locate the icon of your app in the launcher. Press and hold this icon:
a) until the context menu shows up. Select "pin shortcut". Done.
b) move the icon to the desired position and release your finger. Done.
You can also rearrange the position of apps in the launcher. Press and hold the icon until the context menu shows up. Keep the icon pressed and move it up or down. Release your finger once the icon is in the desired position. You can of course reverse this to unpin.
7. What is the launcher and what is the drawer?
