The last post has accumulated 10🔥, so, as promised, I'm telling you about our true motives - why we changed the original approach and decided to give everyone a chance to try the PRO plan for free.

➡️ It's actually very simple:
it is so that you could easily make a rational and informed decision on whether to get the PRO plan or not, by personally trying everything UTasks has to offer for personal and group projects.

I believe there is just no other way. Practice supersedes any theory. No amount of videos about driving a Porsche 911 will give a real understanding of how one actually drives - only driving one yourself can help to decide if the asking price is justified.

📈 I fully believe that this approach, in the end, will bring us more involved users.

🆕 Creating tasks without opening the app.

Hello, dear users!
Long-awaited PRO Trial has finally been released, and with it - a lot of bugfixes and a new small feature. Here's some more info:

ℹ️Now there's no need to open the app to create a task: one only needs to send any message to the bot - and the bot will offer to create a task from the message contents. Upon confirmation, a corresponding task will be created and sent to «Inbox».

So convenient! Especially when there's a need to quickly write something down for later.

➡️And don't forget - you can also forward text messages to the bot to create tasks, too! Such tasks will also appear in «Inbox».

💰 How much is our subscription?

Hi, everyone! Today I'm answering a vital and popular question: «So, how much does the subscription cost?».

Base pricing of our PRO plan is as follows:

🔘249 RUB per month (~$2.70);
🔘2190 RUB per year (~$23.67).

But there's a way to get it cheaper! When subscribing during the 5-day trial period, the pricing is:

◾️219 RUB per month (~$2.37);
◾️1970 RUB per year (~$21.30)!

The end of the trial period means the prices go back to base. So, be sure to get PRO with the discount during your PRO Trial 😎

6 ways to create a task.
#tutorial

Hi everyone!
Start of the week — a good excuse to launch a tutorial series on UTasks basics. Let's start with creating tasks. The app gives you 6 ways of doing this, so than anyone could choose the most convenient one for themselves 😉

1️⃣ Message forwarding.
Starting with the least trivial way that has only recently been added, but it's mega-convenient!
One only needs to forward any text message to the bot, and it will provide an option to create a task based on the message.

2️⃣ Write a message directly to the bot.
Similar to the first way, Похож на первый способ, вместо пересылки сообщения можно написать сообщение в личном чате с ботом и он предложит на основе него создать задачу во «Входящие».

3️⃣ From the app homepage, via the «Create task» widget.
There's a widget on the app homepage for quickly creating tasks. Just input a title for a task, and optionally choose a date, project, and assignees. Then simply tap on the blue button with an arrow to create a task.

4️⃣ From the app homepage, via the "+" button in the lower right corner.
There's a "+" button in the lower right corner of the homepage. Pressing on it will reveal a small menu. The topmost option - «New task» - is what we need. Tap on it, and a full-screen page will be opened. Here, you can thoroughly fill out every field a task can contain. This allows for thoughtful task creation without distractions.

5️⃣ From the project page, via the «Create task» widget.
The «Create task» widget is also placed on every project pages, as well as dynamic block pages - All, Inbox, Today, Tomorrow, Next 7 days. The widget allows to quickly create a task from almost any page in the app.

6️⃣ From the project page, via the "+" button in the lower right corner.
Similarly, on all project and dynamic block pages, there's a "+" button in the lower right corner. It's the same as on the homepage, but instead of revealing a menu, it task you directly to the full-screen task creation page.

🔃 Periodic (recurring) tasks.
You can now create tasks which can be automatically repeated every day, week, month, or year.

To do this, simply set a specific time for a task, and then choose a recurrence period below - daily/weekly/monthly/yearly.

At the specified time, the bot will send a notification, and the task's plan date will be automatically moved according to the set period.

The task will stop recurring once it is marked as completed.

⚙️ PROJECT SETTINGS.

Hi there,

Exciting news! We're launching a new version of the app, packed with two major updates. Let's dive into the first one.

Project settings - a long-awaited feature. To access it, simply enter the project and click on its name.

In personal projects, the settings only allow for changing the name, but in collaborative ones, it gets more interesting.

On the main screen, you'll find a list of project members and the settings button. Click on it to reveal the following screen:

🟢 Event Notifications
Currently the only active setting, controls which types of notifications are sent to the general chat.

We offer 5 types of notifications: task creation/editing/deletion/completion and reopening. Now you can choose which ones to activate and which ones to disable.

In upcoming releases, the following settings will be activated:

🟡Notification Timezone
Displays the timezone used for indicating times in notifications.

🟡Notification Language
Choose the language for notifications sent to the general chat.

🟡Task Visibility for Admins
This feature allows group administrators, upon which the collaborative project is based, to see all project tasks, not just their own.

🟡Personal Notifications
Currently, you receive notifications for tasks both in the general chat and via direct messages with the bot. This setting allows you to choose the type of notifications you want to receive in private messages.

Stay tuned for updates to catch the activation of new settings.

🆕 Task Visibility for Admins.

Hey everyone!

We've been paying close attention to your feedback, and one feature that's been highly requested is the ability for project leaders or curators to view not only their own tasks, but all tasks within a collaborative project.

✅ You asked, and we're delivering!
Administrators of Telegram groups, which serve as the basis for joint projects, now have the option to enable visibility of all project tasks in their project settings.

⚙ To do this, simply navigate to the project and click on the gear icon next to its name - this will take you to the project settings. Under the "Personal" section, you'll find the option "Task Visibility for Admins", which is off by default.

In addition to this feature, there are several other exciting enhancements in the current release that we'll be sharing soon 😉
