Hi everyone!
I want to tell you about the latest release, it's really a breakthrough for us, I'll explain now.

Until last night, adding a bot to a group and thus creating a joint project, unfortunately, you could not see all users at once and, therefore, could not immediately put the task on the right executor.

We could pull out the administrators of the group and then add everyone who showed himself in any way: wrote something, sent a picture or clicked the "Tasks" button. But if a user didn't do that, they were still invisible to the app. Alas! These are the limitations of Telegram itself and we couldn't bypass them in any way.

Many people wrote to us about this problem, and we were looking for a solution. A week ago we found it! We tested it and now we are happy to present it to you.

Now, after adding a bot to a shared group, you will see all users of the project at once!

And one more important point from the latest update. If you have never started the bot before and immediately opened the web-interface, the bot will ask for permission and, after approval, will write to you in a private message and start the start procedure.

🚀 We did it!

More than a month of testing, fixing, suffering... but the result was worth it - a new version, already deployed to production! Let me tell you more.

Earlier, we released weekly and were doing good progress. But at some point we just decided to quickly add a couple of small things here and there and release a giga-cool version.

After the first 2 weeks of quickly adding a couple of small things we realised that we bit off more than we could chew. But it was too late to back off: we rolled up our sleeves and went on with the grind. This is the last time we try something like this, but it still was an interesting experience😉

Short list of changes and features:

1️⃣ New design for task lists in projects.

2️⃣ New design for the task editor.

3️⃣ Two ways of creating a task:
- quick create using a small inline form (at the top of a task/project list);
- using a full-screen task editor (familiar button with a plus-sign in the bottom-right corner).

4️⃣ Ability to set a custom timezone and a time display format in settings (that's where 99% of the actually hard work went).

5️⃣ Full localization, now the app is officially multilingual! There are 3 languages offered so far:
🇬🇧/🇺🇸English;
🇪🇸Spanish;
🇷🇺Russian.

6️⃣ "Completed" tasks section in every project.

Also a dynamic icon displaying the today's date on homepage, new splash-screens for empty projects and many-many more little things.

❗️A warning - some bugs might still be lurking in the new release, as I have personally caught some. Plus, we had to disable some features for the time being to successfully release the version. But rejoice! We'll be sure to fix the bugs and bring back those features in the best way possible!

This is Den speaking, founder of UTasks with great news!

Starting today, it's official - the MVP is launched! Even though with a small delay relative to our internal goals, the app now rocks an updated and more intuitive design and functionality. Let me tell you more about what's changed since last time.

The biggest gap was closed around 3 days ago, when we launched the updated UI. And just this day we have enabled the ability to purchase our subscription and updated the onboarding messages.

New messages (with tutorial pics!) when starting the bot in a group or a personal chat. With respect to your personal language setting (EN/ES/RU) in the app, of course.

We did our best to make those messages crystal clear and simple. Any feedback is much appreciated!

To see the new messages, it's enough to simply send the /start command to any chat with the bot.

I'll make a separate post regarding the subscription, in order to not mix everything in one.

💵 About our subsctiption.

As promised, here's a detailed post.

We only offer two tiers:
- regular, Free
- paid, PRO

When first launching the app, you join the Free tier automatically. It's plenty enough to try everything out and make yourself comfortable, but there are, of course, limits:

1️⃣ The main tier limit - a user can only author tasks in 2 group projects at the same time. Completing tasks and being assigned to a task is allowed without limits in any amount of projects, be it 2 or 100 - we do not limit our users in this. But creating a task - being an Author - only in 2 projects at a time.

2️⃣ Amount of personal projects is also limited to 2.

3️⃣ No way to set a specific deadline for tasks. It's a useful feature when you need to differentiate a fixed immovable deadline for an assignee from the plan date (which is available to Free tier users) that can be changed by an assignee.

4️⃣ Areas for projects - a natural way to organize your projects on the app's home page. You can group projects by a system of your preference, for example - divide them into two groups: «Family» and «Work».

👍PRO-tier users enjoy unlimited app functionality.

💰Pricing:
249₽ (~$2.75) per month or 2190₽ (~$24.20) per year.

❗️All current users are now in PRO-tier, until Wednesday December 20 (inclusive). After that, all users without a purchased subscription will be transferred to the Free tier automatically. All new users starting today will join the Free tier.

You see only your tasks, in which you are the author or assignee.
