LANGUAGE SETTINGS

Hey friends!

In today’s #FAQ, we’re diving into the details of language settings and answering a few of the most common questions we get in support.

✅ UTasks currently supports four languages: Russian, English, Spanish, and Farsi.

1⃣ First, you can choose the language of the app interface.
Love reading your task lists in Spanish? ¡No hay problema!

To set your app language, go to: Profile → Settings → Language

2⃣ Second, you can set a separate notification language for each group project.
This controls the language your bot uses when sending task updates and deadline reminders in the group chat connected to the project.

To set this up, go to:

Project → Gear icon → Settings → Notification Language

This is especially handy if you run your business in English but have a shared project importing pistachios with partners in Iran — who only know the word “deadline” in English. 😄

📺 We’re continuing our #VIDEOTUTORIAL series, and today we’re diving into how inline tasks are created and how they function.

You can assign tasks directly to any Telegram user without having to create a group chat. This is particularly handy when you need to quickly delegate a task to someone but don’t have time to set up a group.

🛫 Here’s a key point: once the task is created, a notification appears in the chat with a button to accept the task. Until someone accepts the task, the assignee is listed as the Telegram Contact. Once the button is clicked, the specific assignee is set. In other words, until the task is accepted, it works like a bearer check - anyone who taps the “Accept task” button becomes the Assignee.

For instance, if you forward a message containing an unaccepted task to someone else, they’ll also be able to take it on! 🤪

UTasks offers two ways to create a group project:

1⃣ FROM THE APP MENU. In some cases - for example, when using an outdated version of the client - this method can lead to errors.

2⃣ ADDING THE BOT TO A TELEGRAM GROUP. This method is more stable and consistently works without issues.

Our recommendation: If you run into errors when creating a project through the app menu, just use the second method - add the bot to your chat like a regular user.

📺 Today we're sharing a detailed guide on how to comment on a task.

💬 If you need to clarify task details or give feedback, use the “Discuss” button inside the task.

Once you click it, a message with the task description will be sent to the project chat. Reply to that message to leave your comment - it will be saved automatically.

All comments are written directly in the project chat and stored in the task history, so you can always come back to them.

Comments are saved when replying to ANY task-related notification.

Telegram changes its behavior and interface from time to time. Since UTasks is built right into Telegram, using a version from the last century (or even last month) pretty much guarantees bugs. So, here's the deal ⤵

HOW DO RECURRING TASKS WORK IN UTASKS?

➡We know the current logic behind recurring tasks isn’t always intuitive - it behaves more like calendar events than traditional tasks:

🟡 When the due date arrives, the task is automatically moved to the next scheduled date;
🟡 If you click "Complete", the task simply closes - no new copy is created.

This behavior can be confusing, especially if you're expecting the typical task flow. We get it - and we’re already working on a new, more familiar logic.
