D.C. activists are rebuffing Sen. Josh Hawley’s accusations of “leftwing violence” while bracing for far right violence.
"The Center for Strategic and International Studies found that white supremacist groups were responsible for two-thirds of the 61 “terrorist plots and attacks” in the first eight months of 2020. Since 2009, the far right has been responsible for over 70 percent of extremist murders. In 2019, the FBI’s annual Hate Crime Statistics Act report recorded 7,314 hate crimes, up from 7,120 the year before."

The far right is focused on “Stop the Steal” nonsense, but violence driven by white supremacy won’t disappear even if Trump does.
"Anyone who has been in the streets—against police murder, against the Muslim ban, against the war on women, against the Iraq War, against the World Trade Organization—has likely developed the instinct to brace when they encounter police lines. Even if they have no respect for them. Even if they want to be peaceful. Election day is November 3rd; Trump knew he was losing in the days after and randomly decides to appoint a certain Christopher Miller to Secretary of Defense.
Out of the blue, all 10 living former secretaries of defense come out and write a letter warning against a potential coup threat and name Miller as a specific complicit element.
Then when Boomers and Proudboys storm the Capitol and states are trying to send in their share of the NOGOs, they're getting these requests refused at the DOD. The DOD that is currently headed by Christopher C. Miller.
It wasn't an Op, he just sold out at the last minute. We just watched a failed coup d'etat.
