(river of the trans-Himalayan origin).
▪️It is known as the Karnaili in
Western Nepal.
▪️ After collecting the waters of its
tributaries – Tila, Seti and Beri, it
comes out of the mountain, cutting a deep gorge at Shishapani.
▪️The total length of Ghaghara River up to its confluence with the Ganges at Revelganj in Bihar is 1,080 km.

▪️ Tamil Nadu is trying to utilise surplus 45 Tmcft of water.
▪️ Karnataka Government says, “this project is not in accordance with the Interstate River Water Disputes Act.
▪️ According to the Act, surplus water should also be adjudicated and the tribunal has to decide on it.

✅Out of Africa’s 55 countries, 16 of them are landlocked: Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Central African Republic, Chad, Ethiopia, Lesotho, Malawi, Mali, Niger, Rwanda, South Sudan, Swaziland, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
✅Location of Ethiopia is important. Please see that it is part of Africa’s Horn. Other countries in Africa's horn are Djibouti, Eritrea and Somalia.
