Chess hobby

🅾️China’s chess model is essentially a state-capacity lesson: Strong institutions + continuous pipelines + high-density ecosystems + predictable support = scalable excellence.

🅾️India’s model shows a Sociology of agency: Individual struggle + family support + volunteer mentors + uneven infrastructure = sporadic excellence

Gs-2 : Judiciary - Role of Judiciary - advisory jurisdiction

🅾️Already discussed in detail- this article is like a summary of the discussion -

⚠️Note : A judgment is formally overruled only by a decision of the Supreme Court in its Adjudicatory Jurisdiction (i.e., in a regular case), typically by a larger bench than the one that passed the original judgment- adjudicatory Judgment (Articles 132-136, 142). The judgment with the "deemed assent" is likely considered negated in its operative part, but the precedent is generally not considered formally overruled by the advisory opinion alone

⚜️But the Opinion/Report to the President (Consultative)- Advisory Opinion (Article 143) Negates the Judgment's Operative Effect

Gs-2 : Governance- Sanchar Sathi case study- Trust based governance

🅾️Government intervention has traditionally been about Regulation (imposing rules from the top). However, in the digital age, regulation alone fails because it is opaque. The new paradigm is Trust, which is built when the government empowers the citizen to verify and act. Sanchar Saathi is the perfect example of this shift. It moves the citizen from being a passive subject of regulation to an active partner in governance.

⚜️ Sanchar Saathi, surged to the No. 1 position on the Apple App Store in India overtaking global tech heavyweights like Google Gemini and ChatGPT.Policy experts say the episode reflects a “digital contradiction” for the government where a public outcry over privacy inadvertently helped raise awareness about cybersecurity.😄

Gs-2 : Health

🅾️Context : India has ~146 crore population with a dual disease burden- communicable and non communicable. So Any evaluation of “health for all” must ask whether the health system can absorb shocks, not whether schemes exist.

🅾️In this context, I want you to read this parliamentary panel report on Ayushman Bharat role in providing universal health care-

⚠️So major issue here is that Health systems are capital intensive and small Incremental increases do not close historical underinvestment gaps.
