πŸ“Œ UPSC Prelims 2026 – TRAPS!

✍ Statement:

Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) in India are registered as cooperative societies under the Cooperative Societies Act.

⚠️ Trap:
The statement is Incorrect. Most FPOs are registered as Producer Companies under the Companies Act, 2013, not as cooperatives.

🎯 Prelims Insight:
FPOs function on cooperative principles but have a company structure.
