✍For over 75 years, Lahuria Dah village in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, lived without proper water supply.
Villagers survived on a seasonal spring and water tankers, paying heavily just to get a few buckets.
In 2023, IAS officer Divya Mittal took charge — and under the Jal Jeevan Mission, ensured tap water in every home. 💪
But what should’ve been a story of hope soon turned political.
The local MLA, not invited to the celebration, complained to the CM.
Within days, Divya was transferred.
Soon after, the newly laid pipeline was vandalized — and the taps ran dry again.
