इजारेदारी प्रथा

1. यह भूस्वराज प्रणाली का एक रूप है जिसमें किसी विशेष क्षेत्र का राजस्व एकत्र करने का अधिकार उच्चतम बोली लगाने वाले को नीलाम किया जाता था।

2. इस प्रणाली की शुरुआत शाहजहाँ के काल में हुई और औरंगजेब के काल में यह और अधिक विकसित हुई।

3. 1772 में, वॉरेन हेस्टिंग्स द्वारा बंगाल में इस प्रणाली की शुरुआत की गई थी।

4. हेस्टिंग्स ने मूल रूप से कर निर्धारण को वार्षिक से पाँच वर्ष, फिर पुनः वार्षिक में परिवर्तित किया।

नोट: यह प्रणाली भ्रष्टाचार, किसानों से जबरन वसूली तथा ठेकेदारों की भुगतान करने में विफलता के कारणों से विफल रही । परिणामस्वरूप कॉर्नवालिस द्वारा राजस्व प्रणाली में व्यापक सुधार (स्थायी बंदोबस्त) किए गए।

📌 Points to be noted:
1. Bank run can be seen in the economic crisis of the 1930s. When America's stock market crashed, depositers believed rumours of a financial crisis and started withdrawing money from banks.

2. To avoid Bank Runs, the government can take several measures, such as:
▫️Setting higher CR (Cash Reserve) requirements
▫️Implementing oversight and regulation
▫️Deposit insurance schemes
▫️Baling out of banks

🔥Modhera Sun Temple, Gujarat, built during the rule of Bhima I of the Chaulukya Dynasty.
🔥Konark Sun Temple, Odisha, was built in the 13th century CE. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
