👉 The technique involved filling the pit — dug up for laying the foundation — with a mixture of sand-lime, jaggery (for binding) and karakkaya (black myrobalan fruit) before the buildings were constructed on these ‘sandboxes’.

Topic: 41: External Benchmarks Lending Rate(EBLR)

To ensure complete transparency & standardization, RBI mandated the banks to adopt a uniform external benchmark within loan category, effective 1st Oct, 2019.

Unlike MCLR which was internal system for each bank, RBI has offered banks the options to choose from 4 external benchmarking mechanisms:
> The RBI repo rate.
> The 91-day or 182-day T-bill yield.
> Any other benchmark market interest rate as developed by the Financial Benchmarks India Pvt. Ltd.

💣Learning: So as soon as RBI 🔺or 🔻Repo rate it will be immediately reflected in the lending rate of banks.
