We are pleased to forward the call for applications for the PHD VIRTUAL INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME, AUSTRALIA – MALAYSIA 2023. We hope this email finds you well.

This program is conducted by the Australian Department of Education in Malaysia in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, aimed to provide high calibre overseas students with first-hand experience in an Australian research environment at host research institutions and to help establish strong and lasting collaborative international research links with Australia.

Application Requirements:

2nd or 3rd year PhD scholars
Malaysian citizen
Any fields of study excluding life sciences and engineering
Scholars must secure their own Australian supervisor prior to commencing the program.

Applicants may submit their details via https://bit.ly/ViR-PhD-InT on 17th July - 15th August 2023 for screening.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview before the final selection.

Invitation to MBIOSymposium - Strands of Life

MBIOS would like to invite the students from the Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) to our annual flagship event the “MBIOSymposium” with the theme this year being “Strands of Life”. This year our theme covers the rapidly growing industry of Biotechnology & Human Genomics in Malaysia. The entire event will be held virtually via Zoom on the 26th & 27th Aug 2023 (Saturday and Sunday) to give all Malaysian bioscience students an opportunity to participate and learn from our expert panel of speakers.


The objective of this event is to provide all Malaysian bioscience students a platform to learn about the Biotechnology & Human genomics industry in Malaysia. Gain a deeper insight with our esteemed speakers covering topics from Molecular diagnostics to Agrobiotechnology. FINANCIAL INCENTIVE FOR EXCELLENT GRADUATES (BYSC)
FIRST SEMESTER 2023/2024

School of Graduate Studies, Universiti Putra Malaysia is pleased to announce that the Bantuan Yuran Siswazah Cemerlang (BYSC) / Financial Incentive for Excellent Graduates is now open for application for the First Semester 2023/2024 from 7th - 31st August 2023.

This financial incentive is offered to students with outstanding academic records registered under Master by Coursework, Master of Science, or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program structures. It is available to all clusters, including the Medicine, Science & Technology and Social Sciences.
