SEARCA is pleased to announce the Call for Applications to the DAAD In-Country/In-Region Scholarship Programme. The scholarship is open to nationals of SEAMEO member countries who are employees of academic or research institutions or government agencies (priority is given to regular employees).
The scholarship covers tuition and other school fees; study and research allowance; printing allowance; stipend for food, lodging and incidental expenses; travel allowance (In-Region only); and insurance.

This is a notification regarding the maintenance of the Internet Graduate Information Management System System (iGIMS) that shall be carried out by InfoComm Development Centre as follows:
Duration: Saturday, 23 January 2021: 12.01 am – 11.59 pm
Location: Entire UPM Campus (Serdang dan Bintulu Campus)
Affected System: iGIMS System
Impact: iGIMS System shall not be accessible by UPM staff and students throughout the above mentioned period
Reasons for Disruption: System maintenance and upgrading
Any latest information regarding the above will be updated from time to time. Any inconvenience caused is very much regretted.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Registered students who fail to pay the tuition fee before 31st January 2021 will be deferred. A deferment penalty fee of RM600.00 will be imposed and all taken courses will be dropped. Students need to retake the courses in the following semester.

Please complete the Application Form online through the student portal at http://sgsportal.upm.edu.my:8080/sgsportal by 19 February 2021 (Click on Forms & Documents >> Sponsorship [Student Application] menu). For current students, please make sure your GS-11 form for the FIRST SEMESTER 2020/2021 has been submitted before applying.
As for BKW, this application is open to students from among journalists who enrol in Master by Coursework and by Research as well as PhD program at UPM, starting from the Second Semester of 2020/2021 Session. This scheme is specially created to honour the contributions made by the journalists/media practitioners to society especially in the field of higher education at both local and international levels. To apply, the application form can be downloaded at https://sgs.upm.edu.my/upload/dokumen/20210120131443Borang_Permohonan_BKW.pdf
All applications must be supported by your Advisor/Chairman of the Supervision Committee and the Dean of the Faculty / School or the Director of the Institute in the system (manually for BKW) before the application closing date.

Kindly be informed that the last date for Progress Report (GS-11) submission (for the First Semester 20201/2021) is on 7th February 2021 and School of Graduate Studies will no longer provide any hardcopy of GS-11 due to the current situation of Movement Control Order.
The submission of GS-11 can be made at student portal via http://sgsportal.upm.edu.my:8080/sgsportal/ (please disregard this reminder if you already submitted).
Failure to do so will result in ‘TM’ for SPS5999/SPS6999.

UPM-ID IMPLEMENTATION AS AUTHENTICATION CONTROL FOR INTERNET GRADUATE INFORMATION MANAGEMENT (iGIMS)
Dear students,
Please be informed that the Internet Graduate Information Management (iGIMS) will use the UPM-ID as the first level of authentication control for users to access the system. The enforcement of this method will be effective on 15th February 2021. This authentication method applies to UPM students.
Students are advised to take note of the following:-
i. iGIMS users must ensure that their UPM-ID is ACTIVE;
ii. If your UPM-ID is INACTIVE kindly activate it at https://upm-id.upm.edu.my/student/public/ActivateUser; and
iv. Changes to the password can be made at UPM-ID portal via https://upm-id-portal.upm.edu.my/sso/login
