As a continuing student, can I apply for a transfer between programmes and/or fields of study during my study period?
Yes, you may apply for a transfer between programmes and/or fields of study via online through iGIMS. Application can be submitted at any time during the semester. If approved within the first seven (7) weeks of the semester, the transfer shall take immediate effect. Otherwise, the transfer shall take effect the following semester.

Can I defer my study?
Yes, you may apply for deferment at any time during the semester. 2. Select categories of 'PutraBLAST' in drop down menu (located on the above and next to ‘Home’)
3. To login, enter your matric no. as your UPM-ID followed by a password

A student with a study status of 'Dropped' is not permitted to access the PutraBLAST. You may have not paid your current semester tuition fees. Please contact the Finance Section of Bursar Office via bursar.student_pg@upm.edu.my to check the amount of fees to be paid for the current semester and refer to https://sgs.upm.edu.my/current_students/study_costs_and_method_of_payment-12582 for tuition fee payment options. Once payment has been made, please email the copies of the payment receipt to bursar.student_pg@upm.edu.my, or else the said payment will not be processed.

This is about the STUDY COSTS AND METHOD OF PAYMENT at UPM
I would like to withdraw from my studies. Will my tuition fees be refunded?
A student who withdraws from study within the first two (2) weeks of a semester with the Dean’s approval is entitled to request a refund of all fees paid by him to the University except for the registration fee, alumni fee, health insurance and services fee.
Fees will not be refunded if the student withdraws his candidature after the second (2) week of a semester.
A student who has dropped a course with a credit fee after the second week of a semester shall not be eligible for any refund.

Registered students who fail to pay the tuition fee before 31st January 2021 will be deferred. A deferment penalty fee of RM600.00 will be imposed and all taken courses will be dropped. Students need to retake the courses in the following semester.
