Сьогодні вранці, бігаючи по справах під час шаленого вітру,  згадала фразу Дороті з фільму The Wizard of Oz "Toto, I have a feeling we're not in Kansas any more", яку вона сказала, власне, коли торнадо переніс її з Тото у країну Оз.

Так от, американці використовують ідіому "we're not in Kansas anymore" щоб описати ситуацію, коли ви "stepped outside of what is considered normal, entered a place that is unfamiliar or uncomfortable for you, have found yourself in strange situation".
По цьому відео видно, як часто вони її використовують (я пригадую, що вперше почула її від доктора Хауса).
Так що don't get confused, якщо якийсь американський колега скаже щось там про Канзас і не подумайте, що він якось з ним пов'язан.
