Conor McGregor stated that he is in peak physical condition. "I feel there is still so much for me to conquer: more achievements, championship belts, knockouts, records, and victories. I intend to claim everything I’ve earned through hard work. I am currently in peak form, and my goal is to prove it. I don’t believe in talent—only in hard work and obsession. Through constant work, I’ve become more experienced and technically skilled. In the Octagon, I am dangerous in any position and capable of knocking out an opponent from anywhere. Max is facing a completely different beast now, and he’s going to feel it," said Conor.

Israel Adesanya has left City Kickboxing—the team where he trained for 17 years—to revitalize his career. "I personally informed my coach, Eugene, that I wouldn't be returning to City Kickboxing. This decision has been brewing for a long time. Right now, I need more individualized training, which is why I decided to leave the team. It’s a tough decision, but I believe it’s the right one for this stage of my career. It’s madness to do the same thing and expect a different result. I just need to get through this period and move forward," Adesanya said.

Conor McGregor's coach stated that they had been drilling that specific jumping kick every day for months. "We’re devastated. We had been drilling that opening jumping 'switch-kick' every day for months—doing it multiple times even during warm-ups. There were never any issues. His knee gave out on the very first kick. It just doesn't get any worse than this," said John Kavanagh.
