Good evening team

As part of our ongoing efforts to support students encountering difficulties in specific courses, the Student Council has taken the initiative to develop a specialized Google form.

This form is designed to gather comprehensive data on the areas where you may be facing challenges in the course, enabling us to tailor our assistance to your specific needs effectively. Your responses will be invaluable in facilitating a targeted approach to providing the assistance and support required to enhance your understanding and performance in the course.

We greatly appreciate your collaboration in this endeavor.

ONLY students in Caribbean, International, and Jamaicans Overseas can request proctored assessments. No exceptions.

- Students who are residents overseas, should ensure their records are updated with the Registry using the appropriate form and proof of residency.

- There are no examination facilities at Savanna La Mar.

Therefore, regardless of the scheduled time of your classes, please be prepared to complete your End of Semester Assessments as scheduled, which may be administered between Sundays through Fridays between 9 am - 8 pm Jamaica time.

- PLEASE SUBMIT A SEPARATE FORM FOR EACH COURSE THAT YOU ARE REGISTERED FOR, WHICH HAS A TIMED END-OF-SEMESTER ASSESSMENT (EOSA). A message from the student council team
Dear Students,

The Fall 2023 Course Evaluation Survey (Pre-MSA) closes on Sunday, October 29, 2023, @ 3:00 PM. Take advantage of this opportunity to improve your academic experiences.

The University of the Commonwealth Caribbean (UCC) encourages students to share their feedback on their academic experiences by administering Course Evaluation Surveys twice each semester, before Mid Semester Assessments (MSAs) and before End of Semester Assessments (EOSAs) as scheduled on the academic calendar.

The Academic Affairs and Department of Student Support, Career Development, and Alumni Services have observed low responses to the course evaluations due to many concerns raised. As a result, we are implementing new measures to improve service delivery.

Please click on the link below to access the course evaluation survey and share your feedback:
Fall 2023 Course Evaluation Survey (Pre-MSA)

Benefits of Participating in the Course Evaluation Process
1. Your responses are anonymous. You should not feel afraid to share constructive feedback to improve your academic experiences.

2. Your feedback will be assessed by the Department of Student Support, Programme Coordinators, and Heads of Departments to develop intervention plans based on your feedback to improve student participation, lecturer delivery, and academic outcomes.

3. You will be provided with updates on the actions that the UCC will take to improve the
delivery of service to you.

DSS and Academic Affairs Commitment
1. Timely response to the feedback provided by students.

2. Effective Fall 2023, during the class visiting period as indicated on the academic calendar, Class Representatives will be encouraging fellow students to complete the Course Evaluation so that a general summary of the responses collected will be shared with the class for adjustments to be made prior to the administration of End of Semester Assessments.
