Moodle Update and Login Reset

To access Moodle please see the email sent by the system Administrator, containing your username and a temporary password that the system will prompt you to reset once you enter them on Moodle.

To access the Moodle login page visit the link https://ucconline.ucc.edu.jm/login/index.php

For users missing the email sent by the system administrator, please use this temporary password to access Moodle with your username.

Password: NEWUSERPASSword2!

If you are a student your username is your eight-digit ID number, if you are a lecturer your username is your UCC faculty email address.

Important Announcement

Please be advised that there is a new and improved Student Union group on Telegram. The purpose of this new group is to keep it more organized and user-friendly by introducing a wide variety of features that aren't being utilized in the current group.

Additionally, students will not be added to the group via link sharing, as it will minimize the likelihood of outsiders, non-UCC students, and UCC faculty members joining this platform.

Instead, a verification system is in place to ensure that this new group is ONLY for UCC students. You'll only be added directly by the council after you fill out this verification form to prove you're an UCC student (https://forms.gle/dcguACUByhPxGxkEA).


This form was created by the Student Council, and no UCC faculty has management access to it. Once you've been verified, you'll be immediately added to the new group.

Also keep in mind that important or pinned messages will be forwarded to the new group as well.

As for the old group, it will likely remain closed. This group will not be deleted, but students will not be able to send messages within this forum (admins are an exception). Therefore, all the resources in the chat history are still available to you as we navigate this transition process.

The student migration process has been ongoing since Friday, August 25, 2023.

Coordinators will help you select your courses and provide you advise with your lectures.

The online department is for accessing and resolving the issues on Moodle, Grammarly, Turnitin, recordings, DQ, Proctor, etc.( ucconlinehelpdesk@ucc.edu.jm)

The SFS department is for financial issues, course approval, and registration issue.(sfshelpdesk@ucc.edu.jm,)

The IT department is for password resetting and resolving the issues on Aeorion and your student email. (smssupport@ucc.edu.jm)

The Exam department helps you with exams issue and grades (examshelpdesk@ucc.edu.jm)

The registry department deals with your personal data, enrollment process, and acceptance letter(registry@ucc.edu.jm)

Update Following The Meeting

The meeting was hosted by Mr. Oneil Dowe, where he made mention of a google form will be disseminated to all emails.

Persons are urged to complete the form based on the issues they’ve been experiencing via the Moodle platform. After which, based on the information provided, the issue will be dealt with accordingly.

The form seeks to capture as many details as possible to provide support, especially for courses scheduled for Sunday, September 3, 2023.

If you are able to make it to the Kingston Worthington Avenue Campus, on Sunday, September 3, 2023, there will be SFS Representatives and Coordinators to complete your registration between 9 am - 3 pm

If you're also unsure what your lecturers' Zoom credentials are, you can use this strategy to help you. Head to the former Student Union group and find an old class group that shows the same lecturer you're assigned to. Then, join that group and check if the zoom credentials are pinned in the group or found in its description area.
