URGENT ACTION REQUIRED

Good morning students.

It has come to our attention there is an active spam/scam account invading class groups.

We ask students to be vigilant in removing this person from all forums.

Andre Williams, offering tutoring services. He is not affiliated with UCC in any capacity and we have no proof of his legitimacy.

Attached are screenshots of public and private interactions with this individual.

This competition will challenge students on various topics within the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), with an emphasis on nuclear applications for
sustainable development.

Debate motions will center around broad areas of nuclear application, including:
• Nuclear energy and its role in addressing energy security and climate change
• Nuclear medicine and its impact on healthcare systems
• Agriculture and food security through nuclear technology
• Nuclear waste management and environmental sustainability
• Innovation and economic development through science and technology

Competition Structure:
The competition for Universities consists of a Semi-Final and a Final Round, which will take place on the third day of the conference, October 31, 2024 between 9:a.m – 12:30 p.m. This will be held in front of a live audience of industry experts, scientists, and policymakers.

The winning team will receive attractive prizes, including a trophy, and gain national recognition for their debating and STEM knowledge.
Clubs & Societies

Clubs provide a space to develop new skills, meet people, and take a break from the pressures of schoolwork. Unfortunately, many of our UCC clubs have gone dormant due to poor governance and lack of club executives to keep them in operation. The Student Council wishes to help change that, but we can't do it without you! 🫵

Do you want to become a club executive? Or are you in an existing club executive role? Notify us!

We have structured a Clubs Executives Enrollment form to allow those interested in becoming an executive to initially apply. We'll then add those interested in the new Club Union group and guide them on the next steps. Check our UCC Clubs Listing and APPLY NOW!
Are you ready to explore new places, gain valuable work experience, and grow both personally and professionally? To ensure the event is tailored to your needs, we’d love to get your input! By completing our quick survey, you’ll help us identify the types of opportunities, locations, and industries that interest you the most.

Anonymous Course Evaluation Survey - December 1 - 19, 2024
Please be advised that the Class Evaluation period has commenced, and we encourage you to participate to improve your academic and student life experiences at the University of the Commonwealth Caribbean. The University has partnered with the Student Council in revising the course evaluation survey and we are committed to using the results to improve academic experiences.

We are aiming for 70% of the student body from each class to respond to the survey as part of the internal quality assurance standards. YOUR FEEDBACK ensures that your degree meets all the quality assurance requirements and helps maintain our Institutional Accreditation Status with the University Council of Jamaica (UCJ).

Share Your Feedback Here: https://forms.gle/SeQvHFjBfmYEnZQT6

Once the course evaluation period is closed, you will receive access to view feedback shared by your peers. After which, you will be invited to determine and track action items raised by each class. Please be mindful that low student participation invalidates the survey and may not result in desired intervention strategies.

Your feedback is ANONYMOUS. The university & lecturers are unable to determine which students complete the survey. Your CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK is important to maintaining OUR UNIVERSITY ACCREDITATION STATUS!
