Для меня православие является абсолютной истиной: и религиозной истиной, и богословской, и философской истиной. Это выбор, на первый взгляд, случайный (я просто родился в этой стране и был крещён здесь в детстве), но в действительности – осознанный. Ведь в Церковь я пришёл уже взрослым. Я изучал разные традиционные религии и по-прежнему отношусь к ним с большим философским почтением и вниманием. Но для меня истина абсолютна именно в православном христианстве и является прямым путём к самому верному небесному вертикальному измерению. Для русских людей наша Церковь с её традициями, связью с глубиной веков, с вечностью — это священная роскошь, и совсем необоснованно было бы отказываться от неё.

Напротив, издревле оно называется "весной души" и даже "весёлым". Поскольку Великий пост – идеальное время для покаянного очищения наших душ от накопившихся грехов, а значит, для нашего спасения.

Во время Великого поста всегда особенно проявляется духовная брань. То, как, по слову Фёдора Достоевского, "дьявол с Богом борется, а поле битвы – сердца людей". Сейчас эта битва с врагами нашей православной веры проходит не только в наших сердцах, но и на реальном поле боя – в Донбассе и Новороссии. А это значит, великопостное время должно стать временем наших побед как над самими собой, так и над внешним врагом.
