With only 2 weeks remaining to the hearing of our matter against the University of the Free State's mandatory vaccination policy, Universities Alliance South Africa now awaits the filing of the UFS' Heads of Argument, which are due by the end of today (13 November 2023).

The UFS clearly does not want the spotlight shone on the case or hearing date, and is determined to have the case receive as little attention as possible.

Just this morning, a lone mother standing outside the university’s premises was accosted – twice – by UFS protection services and told to leave. She stood her ground, pointing out that she was standing on public property and was standing silently with a poster informing passers-by of the hearing date, and was subsequently left alone.

The fact that it was deemed necessary to deploy security twice for this purpose is telling...🤡
