I see some Canadians celebrating that Pierre Poilievre won the Conservative Party leadership tonight. Not good! This cements the death of a viable right wing political faction rising to prominence in Canada. Another Trudeau term would be better for Canadians long term. Pierre Poilievre wants more immigration than Trudeau. He’s not your Canadian savior. He has said REPEATEDLY that he wants more immigration. More “temporary” foreign workers with a pathway to permanent residency (so not really temporary eh), more family reunification, and a fast track for “high skilled” immigrant workers. THIS IS NOT CONSERVATIVE. I don’t know how I can make it any more clear for some of you leafs clinging onto impetuous hope for the revival of Canadian nationalism.
