🖍️ This coffee is mine.
🖍️ This table is ours.

(Possessive Pronouns).

🖍️ This is my coffee.
🖍️ This is our table.

👉 my / our — притяжательные прилагательные

My coffee —

Mine —

🛒 The Grocery Quest
(Continuation of “Little Milk Few Onions” tale)

You enter Magnit supermarket like a game character enters a quest location 🎮
🎯 Goal: get the groceries from your Mom’s shopping list
🏆 Quest reward: your Mom will make you 🥞 pancakes

You scan the aisles full of sweets (сладости) and soda drinks (газировка).
You already forgot what your Mom asked you to buy 😵‍💫

You reach into your pocket (лезешь в карман) and find a crumpled (смятый) shopping list (список покупок) written by your Mom:

🧾 Shopping list

🧅 onions — watch out for the rotten ones!

🌾 flour “Makfa” — 2 kilos

🥛 milk “Prostokvashino” — 1 liter
(watch out for expiration date!

You get the items from the list.
You make sure that (убедиться, что) onions are not rotten and milk is fresh.

Then you go to checkout (касса).

A heavy-set (крупный, представительный) cashier (кассирша) scans your groceries (сканирует продукты) 📟
Then she asks you one word question:

— “A bag?”

You answer:
— No, thank you!

You pull out (вытаскивать) your Pyaterochka wrinkled plastic bag and put groceries there 🛍

When the cashier sees a Pyaterochka logo on the bag,
her eyes start to glow with anger (пылать злобой) 😠

Your total (итоговая стоимость) is 234 rubles! — she informs you angrily.

You scan your Sber card, and the payment goes through

You hastily (поспешно) grab your bag
and leave Magnit 🏃‍♂️

To be continued...

End of holidays .

...You received one reply to your Telegram story — a poop emoji 💩 from your friend and classmate Vitya.
“No more Dota matches with you!” you told him after that.

Monday, January 12, 2026, was a gloomy Monday.☔️

You grabbed your backpack and went to school.🏫

The first lesson was Math. Galina Nikolaevna, an energetic woman in her mid-60s, was writing math problems on the blackboard.
You were sitting in class, not paying attention. You had your own math problem in mind.

“If I save up 2000 rubles, I can get a microphone for blogging and streaming,” you thought.
“Maybe I had no likes on my TG story because of poor sound quality. It’s okay — I’ll get a better mic and start streaming and making videos!”

You were still imagining your future videos with millions of views when Galina Nikolaevna approached your desk.

“Wakey wakey, eggs and bakey!” she said with a smile.

You snapped out of your daydream and stared at her. Your classmates burst out laughing.
Your friend Vitya was laughing too. 😆

Traitor!
you thought angrily.

During recess, you went to the school canteen.
You grabbed your favorite dish — cutlets with mashed potatoes.🍽

You were about to dig in when you noticed Yana. To you, she looked like Emilia Clarke from Game of Thrones. You’d had a huge crush on her since seventh grade.
You swallowed nervously as she passed by. She bought an orange soda and sat two tables away, glued to her phone screen.

This is it, you thought. I’m just going to come up to her and introduce myself.

You gathered all the courage you had, stood up, and started walking toward her…

To be continued…

Present simple.

👀 My friend like dota!

➡️Она работает → she → works
➡️Они работают → they → work

✏Where is the gate?

✏When is boarding?

✏Why is the flight delayed?

✏Who can help me?

Who — кто
What — что
Where — где
When — когда
Why — почему
How — как

Question word +

✏Where are you going?
✏Why are you late?

"I have porridge in my head"-

Англоговорящий человек, не знающий русский, воспримет предложение "I have porridge in my head" буквально как "В мою голову просочилась каша и там сейчас лежит".

Скорее всего, он спросит Татьяну Николаевну "are you feeling ok?".🤢

В контексте денег-это трата "I wasted all my money yesterday"💵.

As easy as pie / A piece of cake (Очень просто)

Hands don't reach (to do something)
Never get around to it / Can't find the time

Все сталкивались с предлогами "in", "on", "at".

→ IN
→ ON
→ AT

IN
ON
Monday -
AT 8:00 - точка

🔥 A tomato face & a turning point

You came up to Yana and said:

— “Hello, I’m…”

“Poopman!” — you heard Vitya’s voice.

He stepped closer, smiling, and continued:

— “His name is Poopman. He records TG stories. In these stories he says:
‘I eat food, I make poop, I live nice, I live good!’”

😂 Yana laughed.
Vitya laughed too.

Your face became tomato red 🍅
You ran out of the canteen.

You were running home with the same tomato face.

At home your mom asked why you were so sad.
You told her it was nothing.

💻 You turned on your old Lenovo laptop.
The desktop was full of games:
Dota. Skyrim. Counter-Strike.

You started to think.

These games were taking too much of your time.
They weren’t helping you get followers on TG or TikTok.
You didn’t even have TikTok.

💭 “My life needs to change!” — you said out loud.

You began to plan:

“I can go to the gym and become muscular…
Or learn something… Yes — learn.
Something I can show on my channel!
And once I get famous, Yana will come to me herself!
And Vitya will ask me to play Dota again!

But I’ll tell him to go play with Poopman!” 😏

You laughed.

Your laugh was loud.
Mom came into your room.

— “Are you okay?”

— “Yes. More than ever.”

— “Alright, son. Don’t forget your homework.”

You nodded… and returned to your thoughts.

🕓 You spent 4 hours dreaming.

In your dreams, you were:

— having a million subscribers on YouTube
— singing your own songs to a crowd of 10,000 people
— speaking English from your heart as a guest on TED Talks

…

You opened your eyes.

An old laptop screen was flickering.
You checked VK — 0 notifications.
Telegram — 0 notifications.

You felt alone again.

🪟 Outside the window, reality looked depressing:

— grey panel buildings
— a liquor store “Red and White” across the street
— people carrying Wildberries and Ozon plastic bags

You wanted to get out of there.

📌 To do that, you needed a plan.

“I will start learning English and vlog about it at the same time.”
— you decided.

You knew some English — but not enough for vlogging in English.

You knew that London is the capital of Great Britain — from school.
You knew what “lol” meant — from internet conversations.

To vlog about English, you needed to practice real English.

🏫 Your school English didn’t help.

It was too formal.
Too boring.

Galina Borisovna was an okay teacher,
but she bored you to death with Present Perfect and Past Simple.

“My life should be perfect and simple — not those tenses!”
“Tomorrow, I’ll look for an online English school.”

🌙 The first step of the plan

You brushed your teeth.
Checked your social media again.

Still zero notifications.

That’s alright.

“An hour in the morning is worth two in the evening.”
“I’ll go to sleep.”

As a man of action, you didn’t delay the first step of your plan.

You got into bed
You fell asleep in 10 minutes.

To be continued.

➡️ Toilet?
➡️ Taxi?
➡️ City center?
➡️ How much?

❌ one water / two informations

water, money, information, advice, furniture, food...

❌ a / an
❌ many

✅ some / any
✅ much / a lot of

I need some water.
Do you have any information?

a glass of water
a piece of advice

-The English lesson is going well so far-"Урок английского пока что идет нормально"

-I'm sleeping as the English is going-"Пока идет урок английского, я сплю"
😴

✏️Present Continuous
-"We are having an English lesson tomorrow"-

✏️Present Simple

-Our train arrives at 6 pm-Наш поезд прибывает в 6 вечера.

-I'm starting a new life next Monday!-

-Our lesson starts tomorrow at 2 pm-Наш урок начнется завтра в 14:00.

You woke up on the wrong side of the bed.🛌

Figuratively, not literally.
Your physical bed wasn’t big enough to have multiple sides.

Your morning oatmeal tasted like hot rubber.🍽

Your mom refused to give you 2000 rubles for your blogger equipment.

“Have you made even one kopeck in your life?
-she screamed.
You think money grows on trees?
If you need money — go earn it!”

At school you saw Yana in the hallway.
She was walking with Big Sveta — an imposing girl with a sharp tongue.

“Here goes the Poop boy!”-she said loudly.

She and Yana laughed.

Your face became a tomato again.🍅

The physics class was especially long today.

Elena Vasilevna —
aka Vasievna,
aka Physichka —
was explaining something about Brownian motion.

She talked about particles randomly moving in liquids.
Or something like that.

The only random move you wanted was to your room.

Back home.
To plans.
To dreams.

“When it rains, it pours.” — you thought.

Outside, a snow blizzard was raging.

You came back home covered in snow.❄️
You were trembling.

Two hours later you were sitting in front of your Lenovo laptop.

“And now I’m going to look for some English schools!” — you decided.

Second conditional -

Second conditionals sentence.

-if I had a million dollars, I would live in Sochi -Если бы у меня был миллион долларов, я бы жил в Сочи

-If I had a million dollars-

-I would live in Sochi-я бы жил в Сочи.🏝

-I would live in Sochi If I had a million dollars

#B

If a grandma had a beard, she would be a granpa.

The road is mastered by walking 🚶‍♂️
You looked at English schools online.

All these schools were promising “fluent English in a month — stress-free.☺️

The advertisements were full of clichés:

— stress-free learning 😊
— immediate results from the 1st lesson
— “super-secret methodologies from a professor from the USA”
— pictures of smiling people in headsets with British or American flags in the background 🇺🇸

You felt as if you were getting scammed.😠

You decided to search for more schools later.

You did your homework.
Physics was hard and boring.
History was just boring —a bunch of events from the past that had no connection with you.

Mom came in to check on you.

She asked you again why you were sad.

“I’m not sad, Mom. I’m just reflecting on my environment,” you joked.

Mom laughed.

“You are such a daydreamer.
Maybe you should write books!”📕

Mom left the room, but her words didn’t leave your head.

You got an idea.💡

You decided to write your own short stories in English.
You figured this would develop your language.
And you would still continue looking for English schools online.

From that day on, your new motto became:

“The road is mastered by walking.”

🗓February 14th came and went. 😔

You still haven't found an online school.

You haven't written any stories.

You have been spending your days listening to creepypastas on Youtube and doom scrolling.

That February 14 wasn't an exception. At school no one gave you a valentine.

"Even Vitya got a valentine!" -you thought angrily- "It's not fair!"

You returned home from school and fired up your old Lenovo laptop. Fan roared like a beast. 🖥🔥

Your laptop needed serious cleaning and thermopaste change.

Doom scroll started. Creepy tales of cursed towns.

"I think i'm cursed too" you muttered. You remembered you wanted to write a story.

"Your future starts now!"

The phrase popped up in your head. You heard it in one of the many motivational videos you saw on Youtube. 💡

You paused the creepypasta. Opened a blank doc.

Fingers froze. "Can I do it? I'm scared to start!"

The tiny voice in your head whispered: "The road is mastered by walking."🚶‍♂️

You starred at a screen for a minute. Then your fingers typed one line- "I'm not a Poop Man!"

Your fist story began.
