Starting December 2023, WhatsApp chat and media backups on Android will count to your Google Account cloud storage limit. This includes the 15GB of free storage provided with every Google Account.

YouTube seems to be introducing a new address verification policy for subscribers on the family plan (Premium), similar to the current practice of Netflix.

The information came from a user on Reddit who received an email suggesting verification of their email and residential address. If the user does not confirm, he runs the risk of losing access.

YouTube confirmed that merely confirming the address is not sufficient. To be eligible to share a YouTube family membership, each family member must live at the same residential address as the family manager. Every 30 days, an electronic check-in will confirm this requirement.

The developers behind Google Chrome are implementing new features for Manifest V3 that disable or render obsolete old extensions in Manifest V2, when we will see many extensions "coming to an end".

Chrome users, whether on Chrome Dev, Canary or Beta, will be required to update their browsers, as it won't be possible to install extensions in Manifest V2 even from the Web Store. Now, the priority is Manifest V3, which, according to Google, focuses on "user privacy".

This means that extensions like UBlock Origin (ad blocker), for example, may no longer work.
