Bitcoin Could Hit $500K If U.S. Creates National Reserve, Says Bitwise CIO

Bitcoin could skyrocket to $500,000 if the U.S. creates a national bitcoin reserve, according to Matt Hougan, CIO of Bitwise Asset Management. Hougan predicts such a move, first proposed by Trump, could trigger a global domino effect as other nations adopt similar strategies. While Hougan estimates the likelihood at less than 50%, recent political interest, including a crypto bill by Senator Cynthia Lummis, keeps the idea alive. Beyond this scenario, Hougan forecasts Bitcoin could reach $200,000 within the next year due to surging investor demand, as Bitcoin continues to rally with a 140% year-to-date increase.
