RT by @skwp: Quantum Fear-Mongering and The Infinite Perils Trap
Alex Thorn @intangiblecoins had a strong post on quantum and Bitcoin coming out of the Vegas discussions this week. I agree with most of it, and I think there’s a broader risk framework that explains why the emerging middle ground is the right one.
The quantum debate keeps skipping the most important question.
Not “is quantum a risk?”
Of course it is.
The question is what kind of risk it is.
That distinction matters becaus...

Alex Finn / @AlexFinn:
The biggest advancement in AI coding this year has been /goal
And it isn't even close
It allows your AI agent to quite literally work for days without stopping. You give a mission. It works until the mission is complete
Here's the thing though: /goal is useless if you don't use it properly
You NEED a good prompt for it
I found basically any prompt I hand write after /goal is never good enough. It produces results that might as well have been a normal prompt
Meta prompting is the answer

v2026.5.4
Peter Steinberger 🦞 / @steipete:
RT by @steipete: no longer using opus for code.
very happy with 5.4/5.5.
Peter Steinberger 🦞 / @steipete:
RT by @steipete: I actually didn’t fully understand how effective this was till I submitted a bug. Clawsweeper looked at it, validated it, said needs human review, then looked at that, and validated the fix from the contributor
Peter Steinberger 🦞 / @steipete:
We can now reproduce issues directly in empheral crabboxes with WebVNC (Linux/Windows/macOS).
Agents set up the exact state to test + fix and post videos on the PR.
Working hard to level up our QA. http://crabbox.sh
