"I protected my family from the serious injustices and persecutions suffered in Brazil.

I will not back down in the face of the dictatorship of the robe, marked by the abuses of the violator of human rights.

I will continue fighting for truth, for freedom, and for the protection and prosperity of the Brazilian family."

📹 He also states in the video that, for any measure to be carried out, the minister would need to send a formal request to the U.S. government.

"Just send it formally here and wait for the declaration from the greatest free, truly democratic nation in the world. They also say that I am a fugitive. First, I didn’t come here to hide, but to work for Brazil however I can. And to be a fugitive, you need a judicial decision. So, I am regular. I can indeed continue my parliamentary activities, even at a distance, just like many from various parties also do.

It is time to push for amnesty. If it is brought to a vote, it passes. It gets approved in the Chamber and in the Senate. Where is the agribusiness caucus? Are they going to side with the destroyers of the country? Where is the evangelical caucus? Are they going to side with those who persecute, who are against the family, against Christian values?!"
