🇧🇷⚠️⚖️ — The office of Minister Alexandre de Moraes of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) illegally used the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) to investigate journalists and supporters of former President Jair Bolsonaro in the Fake News Inquiry, created in 2019

➡️ According to the newspaper Folha de S.Paulo, messages exchanged by the magistrate himself, his advisors, and members of the TSE reveal that the Electoral Court's disinformation combat sector, then presided over by Moraes, served as an investigative arm of the STF.

❌ The messages, exchanged between August 2022 and May 2023, show that the TSE was used to investigate and supply the STF with reports — often without official documentation.

⁉️ Exchanges between advisors and Alexandre de Moraes

➡️ At times, Moraes' advisors mentioned the magistrate's irritation with delays in responding to his orders.

💬 "Do you want me to write the report?" the minister allegedly asked in one of the messages. "When he gets fixated on something, it's a disaster," commented one of the advisors, referring to the magistrate. "He's angry now," said another.

💥 Moraes' Scapegoat

➡️ Instructor Judge Airton Vieira, close to Moraes at the STF, was one of the main individuals responsible for requesting reports from the TSE. Eduardo Tagliaferro, head of the Special Advisory for Combating Disinformation (AEED) at the TSE, was also involved.

➡️ Tagliaferro left the position in May 2023 after being arrested on suspicion of domestic violence against his wife in Caieiras (SP).

➡️ The messages show that Vieira requested specific reports via WhatsApp about journalists and allies of former President Jair Bolsonaro, which were then sent to the STF.

❗️These reports had no official record of being requested by Alexandre de Moraes or the STF. The messages cover the period from August 2022, during the electoral campaign, to May 2023.
