RT by @mattkratter: Full explanation from Claude on why I am recommending the network disable RBF right now: Why I want miners and nodes running first-seen (RBF disabled) right now The Coldcard #entropy failure has created an unusual situation on the network, and mempool policy — normally an abstract debate — suddenly has direct, measurable consequences for theft victims. The situation. Seeds generated on affected Coldcard firmware came from a drastically reduced entropy space. That space is e...

RT by @zherbert: Following the recent Coldcard events, we performed an additional review of Passport's #entropy architecture – for current and previous Passport models – and want to share more about our existing testing and continued code hardening. Passport contains multiple independent hardware randomness sources. Before releasing each Passport model, we empirically tested each source, as well as the final combined entropy output, and performed statistical analysis on the results. Since Janu...

The great thing about a BIP39 lottery set / #Entropia is that it minimizes trust in a computing device as you are directly selecting the key material via the words. The tablets are fun, but cut paper is 100% fine too — in either case just mix them thoroughly and select them randomly.
