Hal Finney, a cypherpunk and PGP developer, recognized Bitcoin as a technical breakthrough. He ran one of the first nodes. 🧑💻🔐
Hal proved the system worked. Before this, the 50 BTC in the Genesis Block couldn't be spent; this created the first spendable BTC.
This milestone proved:
Cryptographic ownership.
Mathematical security.
Permissionless settlement.
Bitcoin started as a system that proved settlement secured by math rather than trust.
