O manjericão cresce bastante e rápido, podendo atingir até 60 cm ou mais e formar um arbusto, por isso precisa de sol (4-6h/dia) e vasos maiores (pelo menos 20cm) para se desenvolver bem; podas regulares nos ramos superiores são cruciais para mantê-lo cheio e evitar que floresça cedo, estimulando novas brotações e um bom aroma.
Por que ele cresce muito?
Rápido desenvolvimento: É uma planta de crescimento vigoroso, que se adapta bem a vasos e locais com luz.
Variedades: Algumas variedades podem crescer bem mais que o comum, chegando a mais de 1 metro.
Como controlar e estimular o crescimento:
Poda: Pince as pontas dos ramos (acima de um nó de folhas) para que ele ramifique, ficando mais denso e não "esticado" (estiolado).
Colheita: Colher os ramos superiores estimula o crescimento lateral, mantendo a planta cheia.
Sol: Exige bastante sol (pelo menos 4 horas) para crescer forte e aromático.
Esse é aqui de casa e realmente não sabia que crescia tão rápido assim quando comprei era apenas uma pequena muda 🌱
