Be careful when eating fruit. I suffered from being poisoned last night after biting into a conference pear.

The pear initially smelled like perfume, but then I bit into it and it tasted of methylated spirits. I suffered severe nausea, dizziness and pains in my arms and pains in my legs; although not sure if connected.
