Three Minnesota attorneys have sued their boss, alleging that he wrongfully fired employees because they posted pro-Trump or pro-police content on social media.

William Kain, Margaret Henehan, and Kelsey Quarberg, all partners of the St. Cloud-based law firm Kain and Scott, are suing Wesley Scott, the law firmโ€™s president and managing partner, for alleged wrongful termination, StarTribune reported on Wednesday.

According to the lawsuit, Scott was upset by the Capitol breach on Jan. 6 and sent an email in April to all the lawyers in the firm saying the โ€œtraitors on Jan. 6โ€ should have been shot.

He then allegedly asked an operations manager to fire two โ€œracistโ€ employees because they had posted pro-Trump and pro-police content on social media, the lawsuit claims.

The manager refused to do so. Scott then allegedly fired the manager and an employee, threatening to fire another. The three partners told Scott that itโ€™s illegal to fire employees for their political beliefs in Minnesota. Scott fired the three partners in response.

The complaint alleged that Scott called police to remove Quarberg, who is pregnant, saying that she was trespassing and physically threatening him.

Kain and Scottโ€™s website has removed the bios and contact information of the three partners. The website claims the firm is the top Google-reviewed bankruptcy law firm and the oldest bankruptcy law firm in Minnesota.

The future of the law firm is unknown because the three partners own 50 percent of the firm and have asked the court to dissolve the firm to pay them for their shares.

Scott owns the other half of the firm, according to StarTribune.

Scott told StarTribune on Tuesday that he hadnโ€™t seen the legal complaint and couldnโ€™t comment yet. Quarberg said that their attorney had advised her and the other two partners not to comment.

The three attorneys are seeking other remedies as well, such as back pay and benefits.

The Epoch Times has reached out to Scott for additional comment.

Cory Olson, a trial attorney in Minnesota, told Minnesota Lawyer that the state is among half of those in which laws protect employees from discrimination based on political activity, the exercise of constitutional rights, or other forms of private political action.

Minnesota Statues ยง 10A.36 states, โ€œAn individual or association must not engage in economic reprisals or threaten loss of employment or physical coercion against an individual or association because of that individualโ€™s or associationโ€™s political contributions or political activity. This subdivision does not apply to compensation for employment or loss of employment if the political affiliation or viewpoint of the employee is a bona fide occupational qualification of the employment. An individual or association that violates this section is guilty of a gross misdemeanor.โ€

However, Olson said that Minnesota is also an at-will employment state, which means a private employee may be fired for any reason. Olson said this is an unsettled area of law, and both employer and employee โ€œwould be wise to take note.โ€

Germanyโ€™s vaccine advisory committee on Thursday recommended that Pfizer-BioNTechโ€™s COVID-19 vaccine should only be given to adolescents with pre-existing conditions that raise their risk of getting seriously sick if they get the pulmonary illness.

The advisory committee, called STIKO, said in a statement that it was not currently recommending the COVID-19 vaccine be given to those aged 12โ€“17 without pre-existing conditions, even though the European health regulator in May approved the Pfizer-BioNTech shot for use in children as young as 12 under a conditional marketing authorization.

STIKO said that, despite its recommendation, doctors may still administer the vaccine to adolescents if the recipients accept the risk.

Ruediger von Kriess, a paediatrics professor and STIKO committee member, said previously it might be preferable to endorse the vaccine for use in children only if they have pre-existing conditions that elevate their risk of serious complications if they contract COVID-19, citing the lack of data on the vaccineโ€™s long-term effects.

The European Medicines Agency approved Pfizer-BioNTechโ€™s COVID-19 vaccine, called Comirnaty, for emergency use on the basis of a trial involving around 44,000 people aged 16 and over, which was later extended to include 2,260 children aged 12 to 15.

โ€œOf the 1,005 children receiving the vaccine, none developed COVID-19 compared to 16 children out of the 978 who received the dummy injection,โ€ the agency said in a statement. โ€œThis means that, in this study, the vaccine was 100 percent effective at preventing COVID-19 (although the true rate could be between 75 percent and 100 percent),โ€ it added.

Besides noting common side effects like fever, chills, and muscle and joint aches, the agency said some allergic reactions have occurred with the vaccine, including a very small number of cases of severe allergic reactions.

Pfizer-BioNTech said that a paediatric study evaluating the safety and efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccine in children 6 months to 11 years of age is currently ongoing. The companies expect to have data ready to submit to European authorities in September for two groupsโ€”children 2โ€“5 years of age and 5โ€“11 years of age.

Comirnaty was the first COVID-19 vaccine to receive authorization in the European Union and is the first to have its conditional marketing authorization extended to adolescents.

Reuters contributed to this report.

House Republicans sent a demand letter to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg asking that he surrender any communications the social media giant has had with Dr. Anthony Fauci and other federal officials regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.

Reps. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and James Comer (R-Ky.) cited recently released emails from Fauci, the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), that suggested Zuckerberg personally โ€œcommunicated with [Fauci] about the COVID-19 pandemic.โ€

โ€œIn light of Facebookโ€™s subsequent censorship of certain COVID-19 contentโ€”including content about the pandemicโ€™s originโ€”these communications with Dr. Fauci raise the prospect that the federal government-induced Facebook to censor certain speech in violation of the First Amendment,โ€ they wrote.

Over the past year in the midst of the pandemic, Facebook has moved to block content suggesting that the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, also known as the novel coronavirus, may have originated from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Jordanโ€™s and Comerโ€™s letter further stipulated that Facebook hand over โ€œall documents and communications between or among Facebook employees and U.S. government employees,โ€ which includes Fauci, regarding the virus, treatment, and its origins. Documents regarding Facebookโ€™s policies about COVID-19 content moderation should also be surrendered, the representatives added.

โ€œIt also appears that you shared some of Facebookโ€™s confidential trade or commercial secrets with Dr. Fauci, as portions of your email exchange with Dr. Fauci were redacted when made publicly available,โ€ their letter said.

Zuckerberg had sent a personal email to Fauci on March 15, 2020, where the Facebook CEO said that โ€œthis isnโ€™t public yet, but weโ€™re building a coronavirus information hub that weโ€™re going to put at the top of Facebook for everyone to seeโ€ to โ€œmake sure that people can get authoritative informationโ€ and โ€œpractice social distancing.โ€ The email also asked Fauci to do a question-and-answer session for Facebook, among other requests.

Another mid-March 2020 email, titled, โ€œOffer from Mark Zuckerberg,โ€ included Fauciโ€™s response about Zuckerberg having asked him to โ€œdo videosโ€ on the pandemic. Fauci responded by saying: โ€œI will write or call Mark to tell him I am interested in doing this.

In recent weeks, Fauci, who has given hundreds of interviews to news outlets since the pandemic started early last year, has faced significant criticism from Republicans and former White House officials, who claimed he gave misleading informationโ€”or said he flat-out liedโ€”about the hypotheses about the CCP virusโ€™s origin.

โ€œI just wanted to say a personal thank you on behalf of our staff and collaborators, for publicly standing up and stating that the scientific evidence supports a natural origin for COVID-19 from a bat-to-human spillover, not a lab release from the Wuhan Institute of Virology,โ€ said EcoHealth Allianceโ€™s Peter Daszak to Fauci in an email on April 19, 2020. Daszak, a staunch opponent of the theory that the virus escaped the Wuhan lab, also told the NIAID chief that โ€œyour comments are brave, and coming from your trusted voice, will help dispel the myths being spun around the virusโ€™s origins.โ€

Fauci responded by saying: โ€œMany thanks for your kind note.โ€ According to the email trove that was published, Fauci a day before told George Gao, head of Chinaโ€™s CDC: โ€œWe will get through this together. Thank you for your kind note. All is well despite some crazy people in this world.โ€

In a series of media interviews this month, Fauci said that those emails have been โ€œtaken out of contextโ€ and defended grants worth hundreds of thousands of dollars being given to the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Cont: Zuckerberg needs to surrender

โ€œThe Wuhan lab is a very large lab, to the tune of hundreds of millions if not billions of dollarsโ€”the grant that weโ€™re talking about was $600,000 over five years,โ€ Fauci told NewsNow last week.

But on Wednesday during an MSNBC interview, Fauci went a step further following recent criticism from GOP lawmakers, who called on him to step down from the NIAID position heโ€™s held since 1984.

โ€œIf youโ€™re trying to get at me as a public health official and scientist, youโ€™re not only attacking Dr. Anthony Fauci, youโ€™re attacking science,โ€ he said.

Facebook and NIAID havenโ€™t returned requests for comment.

Auditors in Arizona expect to soon finish their hand recount of the nearly 2.1 million ballots cast in Maricopa County in the 2020 presidential election.

โ€œI think the counting will be done by the end of this week,โ€ former Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett, a Republican, told reporters on June 8 at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix, where the audit is taking place.

The audit teams are shifting resources to ballot evaluation work, including things โ€œrelated to whether the ballot was authentic,โ€ Bennett added to The Epoch Times.

โ€œSo thereโ€™s pictures of the ballots, we should find folds in the ones that were mailed in, which is the vast majority, I think 92 percent of them work by mail, so folds in the ballots for those that were sent by mail, thereโ€™s going to be a few at early voting locations that might be folded differently or not have holes in them. One of the microscopic cameras is looking for alignment marks and other things that are supposed to be aligned as far as the front and back of the ballot on an authentic ballot. Looking at the depression made in the oval when a handwritten writing instrument is used to fill out that oval as opposed to an inkjet or a Xerox machine making those marks, which obviously donโ€™t want that happening,โ€ he said.

The ballot evaluation will take most of the rest of the month, according to Bennett, who is the Arizona Senateโ€™s liaison for the audit.

Randy Pullen, a former chairman of the Arizona Republican Party who is also serving as a spokesman for the audit, told reporters earlier on June 8 that 1.6 million of the nearly 2.1 million ballots cast in Maricopa County in last yearโ€™s election had been counted.

Auditors are also still reviewing data that was captured from election machines, including tabulators, Bennett told The Epoch Times. The Arizona Senate, meanwhile, is still considering whether to expand the audit to bring in a new firm that would examine ballot images and provide a third set of numbers to compare to the original tabulation and the dataset that the auditors come up with.

The state Senate ordered the audit late last year amid concerns of election integrity. The audit started on April 23. The Senate has control of the arena through June 30 to finish the audit, according to an agreement obtained by The Epoch Times.

More and more workers have been brought on in recent days to help plow through the work, and officials added a third shift that runs from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. every night.

After the audit work is completed, the auditors, led by Florida-based Cyber Ninjas, are going to produce a final report to the Senate. The report will be delivered one week after the other phases are completed, according to a scope of work document the firm gave to the Senate.

The audit is largely supported by Republicans, including the Arizona Republican Party, and has drawn lawmakers from other states for tours, but has faced criticism from Democrats, who tried to halt the process in court earlier this year over security and privacy concerns.

A judge in late April ruled against the Arizona Democratic Party, saying they had not provided โ€œsubstantive evidence of any breaches or threatened breaches of voter privacy.โ€

Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, a Democrat who is running for governor, has said observers she sent to the audit have witnessed โ€œproblematic practices, changing policies, and security threatsโ€ that will render the audit findings โ€œunreliable.โ€ Bennett and other officials connected to the process have disputed those claims.

WASHINGTON, D.C., June 4, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) โ€“ Former gay, lesbian, and transgender individuals have come to the nationโ€™s capital this week to warn members of the U.S. Senate against the dangers of the so-called Equality Act, which threatens to diminish religious liberty and severely hinder those seeking to deal with unwanted same-sex attraction and gender dysphoria.

About 50 members of the โ€œChangedโ€ movement gathered at the foot of the U.S. Capitol to make their stories of personal transformation known โ€“ finding their way out of homosexuality and transgenderism โ€“ and to urge Congress not to cut off access to religious and personal counseling that often plays a role in healing childhood sexual and emotional abuse and trauma that led to embracing those lifestyles.

โ€œChanged has come to DC to appeal to our President and to Congress to focus on human dignity apart from identity politics,โ€ said Elizabeth Woning of California, co-founder of the Changed movement and a former lesbian, now married to her husband for 15 years.  โ€œAmerica deserves to know thereโ€™s more to the story when it comes to LGBTQ experience.โ€

โ€œLGBTQ is also becoming an ideological worldview that Americans must have the right to embrace or reject on the same terms as religion,โ€ continued Woning. โ€œMany, like us, have changed. We left LGBTQ because we wanted to, and others join us every day.โ€

โ€œโ€˜Changedโ€™ stands in the gap between religious liberty and gay rights,โ€ she explained. โ€œWe are Christians with LGBTQ in our past. People like us could consider ourselves a sexual minority, but we donโ€™t see that as the truth of our lives.โ€

If the Equality Act is passed into law, โ€œIt will give unequal rights to a minority, taking away the rights of many, many more,โ€ asserted Daniel Mingo of Kentucky.

โ€œI was sexualy molested at 13, which led to anonymous sexual encounters with other males for approximately the next 30 years,โ€ recounted Mingo. โ€œI chose to leave that life, going into recovery for sexual addiction. I also became a born again believer, and I have been following Jesus now for 51 years.โ€

โ€œBy choosing to leave the gay life, by choosing to stop those anonymous sexual encounters, I was able to determine my own course of treatment, which others would not be able to do if the Equality Act is passed,โ€ said Mingo.

Jason Maxwell traveled from Arkansas to say, โ€œI am a survivor and overcomer of LGBT indoctrination that many in our country and churches have falsely partnered with, that says, โ€˜I was born that way.โ€™โ€

โ€œOther LGBTQ donโ€™t have to choose to find healing from sexual and emotional childhood  trauma,โ€ he explained, โ€œbut I want to make sure that they have the freedom to make that choice if they want to,โ€ and have the option to seek โ€œpastoral care, lay counseling, and professional counseling.โ€

โ€œToday I stand before you a fully changed man, a husband of almost 10 years, and a father of three beautiful girls,โ€ said Maxwell. โ€œIโ€™m standing here for the future of this country, a future in which my daughters, their future spouses, their children, and their grandchildren will have the right to go to public schools without worrying about being sexually indoctrinated to believe that their daddy, their grandfather, was a hateful bigot for simply choosing to heal from his childhood trauma.โ€

โ€œThose who have experienced childhood sexual and emotional trauma and abuse deserve the right to heal,โ€ he added.

Tamika Sanders, founder and executive director of Coming Out, Inc., said โ€œlegislation that says that change is not possible says that we donโ€™t exist,โ€ and it โ€œforces individuals to remain trapped.โ€

Sandersโ€™ organization offers support services and resources to men and women of all ages dealing with emotional, sexual, spiritual, and relational brokenness that may have contributed to alternative lifestyle choices regarding their identity and sexuality.

Cont: Equality Act

Legislation that bans โ€œany attempt to change a personโ€™s sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression will force individuals to remain silent, with no voice, with no one to talk to about their internal conflict and struggles, and absolutely nowhere to find healing and wholeness,โ€ asserted Sanders.

โ€œI had a hard enough time without the pressure of public school telling me what to believe about sexuality and identity,โ€ said David Reece. โ€œI grew up in the 90s, and thankfully we didnโ€™t have to hear about gender identity, sexuality, and sex all the time. That is not the case today.โ€

โ€œLet me be clear: Government should not mandate what sort of sex ed should be received by students in public schools, and they should especially not tell children how they should form understanding of sexuality and sexual identity,โ€ said Reece.
โ€œGovernment should not mandate how a childโ€™s parents should interact with their sexuality,โ€ said Reece. โ€œThe governmentโ€™s job should be to empower families to raise children well, not undermine the parental role by subverting and indoctrinating children at a young age.โ€

โ€œThe Equality Act threatens my freedom to offer the same pastoral counseling that I received, that delivered me out of sexual addiction, that healed the effects of abuse and neglect, that helped me live the life that I dreamed of living,โ€ said Drew Berryessa, a pastor from Oregon.

Berryessa believes strongly in preserving the dignity and freedom of the LGBTQ community, but โ€œequality is never achieved by silencing another community.  Itโ€™s never achieved by persecuting another viewpoint, specifically people of faith and conviction.  The Equality Act does that.

โ€œHomosexuality doesnโ€™t have to last a lifetime,โ€ declared Greg Quinlan, also of New Jersey.  โ€œAll of us here prove that change is possible.โ€

โ€œThe Equality Act is not about Equality,โ€ said Quinlan. โ€œThe Equality Act has nothing to do with equality. It has to do with utter, absolute, dominance, and what we are doing with that is that we are erasing the truth from our children.โ€

โ€œWe have the right to determine what happens to our children and to protect them from something we know to be harmful,โ€ he continued. โ€œSo I urge Congress not to take up this bill. I urge Congress to table this bill.โ€

โ€œThe Equality Act would take away protections from women with stories like mine to access counseling that would help us heal from LGBTQ-related trauma,โ€ said Bree Stevens of California.

The Equality Act, โ€œHR5 eliminates the freedom that I found when I gave my life over to Jesus willingly,โ€ said Gabriel Pagan of Georgia, now a happily married man with a young son and twins on the way. โ€œHR5 eliminates truth, and the ability to choose counseling where people can explore for themselves, and not get their identity or their freedom from peoplesโ€™ opinions around them, or subcultures.โ€

โ€œAmerica may soon make a dramatic turn,โ€ announced Ken Williams, co-founder of the Changed movement, โ€œbased upon whether we choose to hang on to personal freedom, rights of conscience, rights of freedom of speech, freedom of religion; or whether we go with a now dominating mainstream ideology.โ€

โ€œWhat weโ€™re asking is: Please donโ€™t take away our rights. Please let us determine what our sexuality is,โ€ said Williams.

โ€œWashington: Take your hands off of our sexual identities,โ€ demanded Williams. โ€œPlease donโ€™t oppress us. We have followed our convictions.  We left LGBTQ because we wanted to.โ€

Williams pulled out a large poster with pictures of him with his wife and four children. โ€œItโ€™s the joy of my life that I had the freedom to experience this,โ€ he said, pointing to his family.
โ€œShould everyone be forced to have this same thing?โ€ he asked. โ€œNo. But I should have the right to have this life if I want to.โ€

The Equality Act: A grave and treasonous threat to our nation's core values

Earlier this year, Family Research Council (FRC) president Tony Perkins described the Equality Act as โ€œa catastrophic loss of religious freedom in America.โ€

The Equality Act is a grave and treasonous threat to our nation's core values contained in our First Amendment,โ€ declared Perkins. โ€œThis is a radical bill that uses the government to control, through coercion, how every American thinks, speaks, and acts on issues of human sexuality. It may be named the Equality Act, but as the details make quite clear, the only equal thing about it is how much damage it does to many facets of American life.โ€

โ€œThe bill erodes parental rights and positions the government as lord over churches and other faith-based institutions, potentially dictating how their facilities are used, who they hire, and even punishing them for not falling in step with a view of human sexuality that directly contradicts orthodox biblical teaching,โ€ he continued.

โ€œNo person of faith or religious institution, whether school, church, synagogue, mosque, business, or non-profit, will escape the Orwellian reach of the Equality Act,โ€ Perkins warned.

A rollercoaster of a week.

Whilst the promise of โ€œFreedom Dayโ€ hangs by a thread, we know that if it does not happen, then we will grow even bigger and stronger.

Andrew Lloyd Webber has declared he will be re-opening his theatres on the 21st - even if this means heโ€™ll be arrested. If more businesses lead the way and follow suit, then that could be momentous for the movement.

In the U.S.A following a wide push back against vaccine passports Royal Caribbean International will no longer require its cruise passengers to receive COVID-19 vaccines before boarding its ships.

The Covid19 Assembly has launched โ€˜SPEAK OUTโ€™, a service that will provide Legal support for Whistleblowers working within the NHS, care homes, the media, finance, the police and other regulation and enforcement agencies.

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง UK - Andrew Lloyd Webber: โ€˜You'll have to arrest us to stop us reopening theatresโ€™

Andrew Lloyd Webber has pledged to reopen his theatres without social distancing later this month "come hell or high water" - and is prepared to be arrested for it.
In an exclusive interview with the Telegraph, the composer said his theatres were suffering โ€œacute financial stressโ€ that could only be alleviated by fully reopening, which he is willing to do even if the Government delays ending Covid-19 restrictions.

He said he may have to sell his six West End venues; had remortgaged his London home; and claimed he had seen scientific proof that coronavirus was not spread in theatres.
Cinderella, Lord Lloyd-Webberโ€™s first new musical in six years, is reliant on selling tickets for all seats to recoup its ยฃ6million investment when previews begin on June 25, ahead of its world premiere three weeks later.
Lord Lloyd-Webberโ€™s defiant stance puts him on a potential collision course with Boris Johnson, who is under pressure from scientists and senior ministers to resist removing all lockdown restrictions on June 21.

Downing Street is awaiting more Covid data later this week before making a decision.
Read our interview with Lord Lloyd-Webber below.

If the Government ignore their own science, we have the mother of all legal cases against them

Andrew Lloyd Webber, the worldโ€™s most successful composer of musicals, is putting the finishing touches to his first new West End show in five years. He should be preparing to celebrate โˆ’ the first preview is just over two weeks away, with opening night set to follow on July 14 โˆ’ instead, heโ€™s spoiling for a fight.

The world premiere of his ยฃ6 million Cinderella depends on social distancing being lifted, in accordance with the Governmentโ€™s โ€œroadmapโ€, on June 21, a promised milestone that looks increasingly in doubt. Yet, Lloyd Webber tells me, his voice bristling with defiance, โ€œWe are going to open, come hell or high waterโ€. What if the Government demands a postponement? โ€œWe will say: come to the theatre and arrest us.โ€
The buzz around Cinderella, Lloyd Webberโ€™s 17th major musical since Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in 1968, is intense, not least because its book is by Emerald Fennell, the Oscar-winning writer, director and producer of Promising Young Woman. Lloyd Webber has known 35-year-old Fennell, who also appeared as Camilla Parker Bowles in The Crown, since she was a child โ€“ heโ€™s an old friend of her mother and father, the jeweller Theo Fennell.

He seized on her scenario, dashed off in 48 hours back in 2018, when she was still best known for playing Nurse Patsy in Call the Midwife. Her sparky treatment upends the familiar telling of the fairy tale, instead presenting, as Lloyd Webber puts it, โ€œa world where people go to extreme lengths to make themselves beautiful, and our Cinderella looks at it and goes: this is weirdโ€.

Lyrics by David Zippel stir stinging satire into the romance. โ€œItโ€™s about being obsessed with changing yourself and being like the Kardashians,โ€ says Lloyd Webber. For Zippel, who also collaborated on The Woman in White in 2004, the creative process was โ€œjoyfulโ€ฆ Andrew knew where he wanted it to go musically. There were times Emerald would write a scene and I would musicalise it โ€“ it was a team effort.โ€

According to Nikolai Foster, artistic director of Leicesterโ€™s Curve theatre, Lloyd Webberโ€™s score marks โ€œa return to A-game formโ€ฆ Youโ€™ve got rock anthems that remind you of the excitement of Jesus Christ Superstar, there are waltzes with nods to Rodgers and Hammerstein, and a mind-blowing Bohemian Rhapsody-inspired segment in the second half. Itโ€™s just what you want in a musical.โ€

We shall see. Or shall we? What should be the happy conclusion to a creative journey that began in earnest in 2018, before being diverted by the pandemic (Cinderella was originally due to open last August) is once again in question. No show of this scale, with a bank-busting ensemble of 34, is commercially viable while attendances remain capped at 50 per cent of capacity.
