It is when going against a parent’s decision that a child should be assessed for competence and prove they have the required knowledge, not otherwise.

▪︎ Logistics: Prepare your child for the logistics of how vaccines are likely to be administered in a school environment and discuss coping strategies based on their decision. Having prior notice of vaccine administration day is important and there may be a build-up in conversations at the school. They may feel singled out on the day if they have chosen not to have the vaccine.

You could discuss scenario-based coping strategies to help them through. Consideration may be given to missing school on the day of the vaccine administration. If your child is anxious about the whole situation, then this tactic could be used as an avoidance strategy. Be aware that catch-up days are often not announced in advance, so it is possible that the school vaccination clinic may be set up again, without notice, to ‘mop up’ those who have not yet received the vaccine. In the long term the decision will still have to be made.

▪︎ Coping Strategies: Discuss how to conduct or avoid the discussion by using avoidance, abstinence or measured responses. If the children are asked to put their hand up in class to identify their vaccination choice, they may choose not to participate. In a conversation, they can bring up a new topic. If they wish to discuss the issue, they can carry an item that exemplifies their decision, e.g. their risk/benefit analysis. This will help reinforce that theirs was a thoughtful decision-making process, although it is important they know that they are under no obligation to do this. They could simply smile and walk away. Let your child know that you are a team and that you will support them in their choices.

Acknowledging your child’s feelings about what is going on with class mates on a daily basis is important to avoid your child becoming anxious or even depressed about it. Encourage your child to maintain friendships with those who have made different decisions from theirs. They are not enemies all of a sudden just because they have different views. Also, that when they are ready and, on their terms, then a discussion between them is healthy and can even strengthen their friendship through mutual respect.

Body Autonomy and changing one’s mind.

If a child consents to receiving a vaccine, this is not irrevocable. They can change their mind at any time, up to the moment the vaccine is about to be administered. All they need to say is “I have changed my mind, I don’t want it”. Talk to your child about what words they would use should they ever find themselves in that situation. They may feel confident and say they are withdrawing their consent, or they may want to express that they are really not sure about it and would prefer to delay. The wording is secondary. What matters is that they decline having the vaccine at that time.

In the unlikely event that they are being ignored, they have every right to get up and leave or to physically resist. We do not expect this to ever become necessary but even without going to extremes, it can be helpful to get up or to leave the room as a gesture of finality and to show that no discussion is wanted.

Advocating for your Child

If you feel that your child is at risk of making a medical decision without fully understanding the consequences or due to pressure from others, consider writing a calm, measured letter to the school.

You could state that you do not believe your child understands the consequences of accepting or declining the vaccine and therefore lacks Gillick competence. Warn them that you will ask to see verbatim records of how such competence was assessed. You could also say that you do not believe their consent would be lawful due to pressure from others.

Appendix 1 – Ways to identify undue influence:

The following points are adapted from Biderman’s Chart of Coercion (various versions are available online), originally published by Amnesty International in a report on torture. It has since been used for domestic abuse cases and can also help parents identify undue influence exerted on their child. Remember to check your own influence on your child as well.

▪︎Induced fear of losing social support or of being discredited or ridiculed

▪︎ Rejection of alternate information and separate opinions. Rules exist about permissible topics to discuss. Communication is highly controlled.

▪︎Negative consequences for any actions that show resistance or independence

▪︎ Wearing someone out
emotionally so that resistance becomes too costly; compliance in order to be left alone.

▪︎ Being singled out or publicly shamed

▪︎ Prolonged pressure to change one’s mind

▪︎Told or implied that bad things will happen if they don’t comply; implied blame for the suffering of others; non-compliance labelled “selfish”

▪︎ Not respecting body autonomy

▪︎Rules that are illogical or contradictory but have to be followed because they are rules

Appendix 2 – Quality of Information.

When performing research, it is important to assess the quality of information that is most readily accessible. These days, the first few pages of results from any online search are from sources that agree with government policy and may not reflect best science. Below are some examples allowing you to compare and assess data sources for independence and balance.

1. Look up the community guidelines if it is a social media site. For example YouTube community guidelines say: “YouTube doesn’t allow content that … contradicts local health authorities’ or the World Health Organization’s (WHO) medical information about COVID-19.“

2. Watch reporting from a mainstream news outlet  Do you find balanced information being broadcast?

3. Check the funding and collaboration patterns of the information source in questions. For example the UK medicines regulator MHRA has published its board members’ conflicts of interest or check the conflict of interest information included in any medical journal publications.

4. Pick out a leaflet or learning material from school and talk about whether it gives balanced information or reads like promotional material. For example, here is one that has been critiqued by a UK GP.

5. Compare the language of how dissenting voices are portrayed, for example here vs here.

6. Review these articles in the New York Times and the BMJ and consider the consequences on available information.

7. On 11th September 2019 a doctor from the Wellcome Trust appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme blaming anti-vaxxers for the resurgence of Scarlet Fever. However, the UK has never had routine Scarlet Fever vaccinations. What does this mean and how does it affect their trustworthiness?

8. Compare internet searches for “children covid vaccination” to “bmj children covid vaccination” or “lancet children covid vaccination”. The BMJ and Lancet are world-leading medical journals. How do the results compare?

Appendix 3 – Data sources

Once you are ready to start looking at the actual data, you will need sources that are reliable and well referenced. It would not be right for us to tell you what information to look up or how much weight to give to each. However, if you don’t know where to start, some of the following points may be helpful.

Appendix 4 – Consent process check list relating to children under 16

This list is based on UK regulatory guidelines and best practice (General Medical Council) and is aimed at most common situations. Its aim is to help parents and medical staff ensure that parental consent to any intervention has lawfully been obtained and to encourage best practice.

Children should be included in the process as appropriate to their level of maturity.
Has valid consent been obtained from the patient?

▪︎ Has required information been given in ways the parent/child can understand?

▪︎ This should include diagnosis & prognosis, any uncertainties, treatment options incl. option not to treat, purpose of each treatment, incl. any risks and likelihood of success, side-effects & complications, in particular serious adverse outcomes.

▪︎Has the information been given in a balanced way, disclosing any conflicts of interest?

▪︎ Has the parent / child been encouraged to ask questions?

▪︎Have staff checked if the information is understood and whether more information is wanted?

▪︎ No pressure has been put on parents and their decision has been respected?

▪︎ Are the medical staff involved suitably trained, have sufficient knowledge of the proposed investigation or treatment, incl. risks involved, and understand the GMC guidelines?

The UK Government / MHRA have released their seventeenth report highlighting adverse reactions to both the Pfizer / BioNTech and Oxford / AstraZeneca vaccines that have occurred since the roll-out began on the 8th December 2020 and this time we dug deeper and what we have found it terrifying…

The U.K. Governments report (which you can find here) has collated data inputted up to the 19th May via the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme. At this point an estimated 12.7 million first doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine and 24.2 million doses of the Oxford University/AstraZeneca vaccine, had been administered. As well as around 10.5 million second doses of the Pfizer jab, and 10.7 million second doses of the AstraZeneca jab. There had also been around 0.3 million first doses of the Moderna vaccine administered as of the 19th May.

As of the same date the MHRA had received 175,673 reports of adverse reactions to the Pfizer jab, and 676,083 reports of adverse reactions to the AstraZeneca jab, bringing the total number of adverse reactions to both jabs to an eye watering total of 851,756. However the MHRA states that only 1% – 10% of adverse reactions are actually reported to the Yellow Card scheme.

The adverse reactions include 12,028 blood disorders, 9,198 cardiac disorders, 9,110 ear disorders, 13,396 eye disorders, and an astounding 178,401 nervous system disorders. As of the 19th May the rate of occurence of an adverse reactions stands at 1 in every 142 people, this is a significant increase from what was seen in the first report which included adverse reactions up to the 24th January, in which the rate stood at 1 in every 333 people. This is a worrying trend considering the fact the elderly and most vulnerable (people with underlying conditions) were first in the queue, yet now that healthier and younger people are receiving one of the experimental jabs the rate of adverse reactions is increasing. This fact alone proves the jabs are not safe and must be halted immediately.

We took a dive into the reports to see what types of adverse reaction were being reported, and this is what we found…

(We used the data shown in the UK Governments Analysis Print of the Pfizer vaccine {which you can find here} + Analysis Print of the Oxford Vaccine {which you can find here}.)

The first adverse reaction that caught our attention is an ailment known as thromocytopenia. If you have thrombocytopenia, you don’t have enough platelets in your blood. Platelets help your blood clot, which stops bleeding. If you have a severe form, you can bleed spontaneously in your eyes, gums, or bladder or bleed too much when you’re injured. There have been 98 reports of thromocytopenia occurring due to the Pfizer vaccine as of the 19th May, with 1 of these cases sadly resulting in death.

But there is another condition which caught our eye known as ‘immune thromocytopenia’. This is where the immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys blood platelets. There have been 52 reports of this condition due to the Pfizer vaccine.

But if you thought that was shocking, you’ve seen nothing yet. Because there have been 631 reports of thromocytopenia due to the AstraZeneca vaccine as of the 19th May, with 5 of these cases sadly resulting in death. There have also been 172 cases of immune thrombocytopenia, with 1 of these cases sadly resulting in death.

Next we come to cardiac disorders, the first of which is Cardiac failure, also known as heart failure. This means that the heart is unable to pump blood around the body properly, usually occurring because the heart is too weak or stiff. It can occur due to severe infections, allergic reactions, or blood clots in the lungs. As of the 19th May there have been 24 reports made to the MHRA of cardiac failure occurring due to the Pfizer vaccine.

Sadly 2 of these cases resulted ind death.

There have also been 45 reports made to the MHRA of cardiac failure occurring due to the AstraZeneca vaccine, with 6 of these cases resulting in death. There have also been 5 reports of cardiogenic shock resulting in 2 deaths, this is a life-threatening condition in which your heart suddenly can’t pump enough blood to meet your body’s needs.

The next cardiac disorder is known myocardial infarction, a condition which you will know as a ‘heart attack’. This occurs when blood flow decreases or stops to a part of the heart, causing damage to the heart muscle. The Pfizer jab has caused 90 people to suffer a heart attack as of the 19th May resulting in 16 deaths.

But the AstraZeneca jab fairs much worse with a total of 246 reports of heart attack made to the MHRA with 35 of these resulting in death. There have also been 19 reports of myocardial ischaemia resulting in 8 deaths. This occurs when blood flow to your heart is reduced, preventing the heart muscle from receiving enough oxygen. The reduced blood flow is usually the result of a partial or complete blockage of your heart’s arteries.

The final cardiac disorder we come to is cardiac arrest. Cardiac arrest is a sudden loss of blood flow resulting from the failure of the heart to pump effectively. Signs include loss of consciousness and abnormal or absent breathing. Some individuals may experience chest pain, shortness of breath, or nausea immediately before contracting cardiac arrest. Unfortunately the Pfizer jab has caused 59 people to suffer the aforementioned symptoms and 21 of these people sadly lost their life.

But yet again the AstraZeneca jab fares worse and has caused 129 people to suffer cardiac failure as of the 19th May of which 30 sadly died.

Next we come to ear disorders and we can see that 90 people have reported deafness as an adverse reaction to the Pfizer mRNA jab, as well as 16 people reporting sudden hearing loss as of the 19th May. For over a year these people may have been isolated from their families and unable to hear the laughter of their grandchildren. Can you imagine how they must feel now, knowing they will never have the chance to hear it again?

DeSantis: People Moving to Florida ‘Overwhelmingly’ Registering as Republicans, Including Democrats

Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis told Fox News during a town hall event Wednesday night that people who are moving to Florida are “overwhelmingly” registering as Republicans, including former Democrats who fled blue states.
“The media at the beginning of this said Florida’s bad and I think it’s because they want to damage Trump in Florida, they want to damage me. So, they just kept saying it was bad,” DeSantis said. “And even though the facts didn’t say it, like literally last April, they’re saying Florida is doing worse than New York. New York was like 10 times worse.”

“And so, I think what it did is the people that buy those phony narratives for these media, they probably aren’t coming to Florida. But most people see through it. But the people that see through it, they think like us. And so, I think a lot of these people are coming. That’s actually a good point. I remember being out there one summer and I walked outside of a radio station with J.D. Hayworth and I’m like, I can’t breathe. It was — it was really rough.

All right. So, all of you have this problem. And the problem is people from New York, and New Jersey, and California, and Michigan, they’re leaving their states and they’re going to your states.

You’re — Florida seeing a huge impact of migration out of the — out of these blue states. Now, my only fear for all of you — and I’ll let you start first, Governor DeSantis — is that they may bring their liberal policies with them.

I come to Florida, they’re in school. People are free. People are happy.

So, I think this whole process has caused some people to reevaluate some of their prior commitments. And if you have a political party that puts the interest of teachers unions over the interest of kids being able to just access an education at all, that tells you all you need to know about the modern Democrat Party.

We will fill and exceed it - that’s great, surround Parliament with people standing in their Medical Freedom.

We will signal the start of the march with FIREWORKS and FLAGS. Please stay behind the front row of marshals. They will be using flags to communicate inc regular stops to let the back catch up and to prevent gaps. There will also be official marshals through the crowd too to help give the signals further back too.

Please be mindful of TRAVEL DISRUPTIONS - there are a number of other protests on Sat too, so please set off with time to spare.

This won’t be a scenic walk, we will be taking our message to community areas that we haven’t hit before and WE WILL BE STAYING AT THE END LOCATION AS LONG AS POSSIBLE. There may be access to some resources there but bring as much as you can with you too.
