We were on vacation and my hubs was having a lot of trouble with a very painful skin tag.
We found a surprisingly effective method for removing it:

Dab iodine on the skin tag with a cotton swab then put a bandaid on it. Repeat once per day. We used the type in this pic.

Other recommendations say to add crushed garlic to the iodine, but we didn’t have any on hand and by the time we did, the thing had already come off. Took less than 48 hours.
Totally painless.
