A couple weeks ago we drove cross country. The entire state of Wyoming was covered in a haze. Sometimes thick, sometimes not, but it was always there. The locals told us it was from fires in Canada. They seemed as surprised by it as we were.

Now this crap is hitting and all the fires seem to have started at the same time across vast distances. And I see chuckleheads all over Twitter trying to say it’s normal and that it’s summertime and therefore to be expected. Does anyone remember this happening in the past? Personally, I do not and I grew up in Michigan. You can’t get much closer to Canada than that.

Just sayin. It’s probably a good time to have some conversations with people.
