What is to be done? Quite clearly, the post Christian west needs a new source of cosmic order. Christianity has never played well with the Faustian Spirit and the two have been butting heads like Horus and Set since the Renaissance. If Set is the Faustian spirit, lord of the Chaotic desert, heโs managed to finally kill Horus, and now weโre in that age of chaos. This spirit can only be quenched by a religion of inquiry, not mystery. Merely returning to โthe old godsโ is not a solution, nor is using dogma to attack inquiry.
