As the education system grapples with a severe teacher shortage, a school has recently terminated an employee with nearly 20 years of service for wearing an 'inappropriate' shirt during a month deemed unsuitable. The shirt, which featured the Canadian flag and the phrase "This is my pride flag," was worn in June, LGBTQ+ Pride Month. Quebec is facing a critical need for about 1,000 additional teachers to manage its growing student population.
