Elon Musk warned by European Union that Twitter will be banned unless he sticks to bloc's digital rules

The European Union has reportedly threatened to ban Twitter unless Elon Musk abides by its strict content moderation rules.

EU industry chief Thierry Breton made the threat during a video meeting with Musk on Wednesday. Breton told the world's richest man he must adhere to a checklist of rules which are set out in the EU's new Digital Services Act.

According to the report, these include:

🚩A requirement to ditch an "arbitrary" approach to reinstating banned users
🚩 Agreeing to an "extensive independent audit" of the platform by next year.

The Treasury Department has complied with last week's court order to hand over the documents, a spokesperson from the Treasury Department confirmed to CNN on Wednesday.

The House Ways and Means Committee now has six years of Donald Trump's federal tax returns, ending a yearslong pursuit by Democrats to dig into one of the former president's most closely guarded personal details.

Zelensky 'Invites' Elon Musk To Visit Ukraine

Remember when Ukrainian government officials were blasting and taking jabs at Elon Musk? But now Ukrainian President Zelensky has "invited" Musk to Ukraine.

"If you want to understand what Russia has done here, come to Ukraine and you will see this with your own eyes without any extra words," Zelensky said during the discussion. "And after that, you will tell us how to end this war, who started it and when we can end it."

Zelensky also joined other Ukrainian officials in suggesting that Musk has been "influence" by the Kremlin, a baseless charge that was floated by some Western pundits after Musk in early October held a "Russia-Ukraine Peace" Twitter poll.

Senate Passes ‘Disrespect for Marriage’ Act without Religious Liberty Protections

Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) put forward a comprehensive religious liberty amendment protecting religious freedom from vindictive federal officials who might take “discriminatory action … wholly or partially on the basis of their belief in marriage.”

Lee’s amendment failed by one vote, 48-49. His amendment received bipartisan support, w/ Democrat Joe Manchin (W.Va.) voting yes.

One Republican, Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine), voted against Lee’s amendment; two Republican senators, Ben Sasse (R-Neb.) & Pat Toomey (R-Pa.), skipped the vote, as did Democrat Raphael Warnock (Ga.).

Senator James Lankford’s (R-Okla.) amendment would have clarified portions of the bill’s language.

Senator Marco Rubio’s (R-Fla.) amendment would have struck LGBT activists’ ability to sue believers.

Both amendments failed by the same 45-52 margin.
