Iran restarts production of advanced parts for nuclear program: report

Iran has reportedly resumed production of equipment used for the development of nuclear weapons, as talks between the U.S. and the Middle Eastern country remain stalled.

Iran has begun developing centrifuges, which can enrich uranium up to 90% purity to be used for nuclear weapon development, at its plant in Karaj, west of Tehran, diplomats told the Wall Street Journal.

The country may have constructed parts to build up to 170 advanced centrifuges, adding to what is believed to be an arsenal of 1,000 centrifuges stored in an underground facility.

US Debt Disaster: Fed Govt Unable to Pay Bills by mid-December, warns Yellen

US Treasury sec. Janet Yellen has written to Congress in a desperate bid to urge lawmakers to either raise or suspend the borrowing limit to avoid a potential recession describing the situation as “critical.”

Yellen stated the Fed govt could be unable to meet payments by as soon as Dec. 15. The Bipartisan Policy Center estimated last month that If action was not taken social security payments and military paychecks could be at risk.

Congress recently raised the statutory debt limit by $480 billion, but this appears to have been a short-term fix, Republicans are now calling for Biden to act to find a long-term solution.

Maybe someone needs to start looking behind the sofa?

The second-biggest program in the Democrats’ spending plan gives billions to the rich

The House is expected to vote this week on President Biden’s Build Back Better legislation. The social spending bill includes investments in clean energy and affordable child care — but it also includes a $285 billion tax cut that would almost exclusively benefit high-income households over the next five years.

The measure would allow households to increase their deduction from state and local taxes from $10,000 to $80,000 through 2026, and then impose a new deduction cap through 2031. It’s the second-most expensive item in the legislation over the next five years, more costly than establishing a paid family and medical leave program, and nearly twice as expensive as funding home-medical services for the elderly and disabled, according to an analysis by the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget.

Idaho state House passes worker vaccine compensation bill

The Idaho state House passed a bill to provide compensation to workers if they get sick from an employer-mandated vaccine.

The bill was passed in a bipartisan 67-3 vote, The Associated Press reported. Those against the bill said workers are already compensated if they get ill from a vaccine.

The bill comes as COVID-19 vaccine mandates have become more popular around the country with state and local governments and private businesses.
