The Internal Revenue Service has sent out roughly 9 million alerts between January 1 and July 15 this year alone — compared to approximately 629,000 last year, according to the Independent.
“Multiple payment options and limited tracking has led to high numbers of discrepancies between the IRS and taxpayers,” Dan Herron, CFP and CPA told CSNBC.
Those who may be affected include:
▪️Americans who received $1,400 checks as part of the American Rescue Plan
▪️Those with an income over $75K individual $150K married
▪️Those who utilized the Child Tax Credit
▪️People who didn’t receive the $1,400 but claimed it as a rebate

John Deere workers go on strike
Over 10,000 employees of farming equipment manufacturer John Deere went on strike Thursday morning after failing to come to an agreement on a deal regarding pay raises.
Employees represented by the United Auto Workers (UAW) union went on strike after rejecting an offer from the company that would have provided immediate 5 percent to 6 percent raises to most workers. Both sides had until Wednesday at 11:59 p.m. to come to an agreement.
Early Thursday morning, the union said in a statement the company "failed to present an agreement that met our members' demands and needs."

The news comes after a Chinese internet regulator told LinkedIn in March to better moderate its content, giving them a 30-day deadline according to people familiar with the matter, the Wall Street Journal reported.
Last month, the platform also blocked several U.S. journalists, citing "prohibited content" in their profiles.
The new platform, called inJobs, will not include a social feed or allow users to share posts or articles.
