Currently, banks are required to report deposits of $10,000 or more to the IRS.
Inflation has risen so much since the Bank Secrecy Act was passed in 1974 that $55,000 in 2021 buys you what $10,000 bought you back then.
Despite the devaluation of the dollar, the Biden Administration is trying to change the laws so the IRS tracks ALL transactions on accounts with $600 or more.
This is an insanely proposed government overreach essentially giving the IRS insight into the financial data of of ALL American citizens.

The warning last week from a dozen former national security leaders was stark: An antitrust crackdown on Silicon Valley could threaten the nation’s economy and “cede U.S. tech leadership to China.”
Seven of the former officials, including former defense secretary and CIA director Leon Panetta, are advisory board members or senior counselors with a public relations firm that represents Google.
“It’s a really smart way to go after Republicans, to go after the national security angle,” said Jon Schweppe, the director of policy and government affairs at the right-wing American Principles Project, which supports the antitrust crackdown. “But the thing we’ve found, and we see it with this letter ... is that whenever people are making these arguments, they are funded by big tech and these are arguments coming directly from strategy meetings being held between Google, Facebook, Apple and all their public policy teams. It’s hard to lend that any sort of credibility once you know that’s the case,” Schweppe said.

This short amendment doesn't answer the questions Texans have about the last election. Texans demand a real audit to completely address their concerns.
We need HB 16, which was just filed in the Third Special Session. This legislation specifically addresses the 2020 Presidential Election, and enables audits for future elections. A top Taliban official said executions and amputations will return as punishments for criminals in Afghanistan, echoing policies the group had in place when it ruled the country in the 1990s.
Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, one of the founders of the Taliban, told The Associated Press the group has not decided if the punishments will be public.
In the past, the Taliban have shot murderers dead, cut off a hand of thieves and cut off a hand and foot for a highway robber.
"Cutting off of hands is very necessary for security," Turabi, who was the head of the Ministry of Propagation of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in the '90s, told the outlet amid international concerns about the new regime's plans.
