To be clear, this is the OPPOSITE of what the global economy needs and comes just weeks after Biden visited Saudi to try to get an INCREASE in oil production to ease prices.

This action, along with Putin’s halt of natural gas flows via Nordstream adds to inflationary pressures globally.

Longer term, there are increasingly loud noises that Saudi Arabia is looking to join the BRICS coalition along with the likes of Russia to form a new commodity-based reserve currency - a higher oil price is in their interest.

This coalition would be a direct challenger to the petrodollar system that has allowed the U.S to dominate over the years.

Putin: The era of Western dominance in the world is fading away - ahead of the "most important and dangerous" decade since the Second World War.

The head of state stressed that Russia does not oppose Western elites and does not claim hegemony in the new multipolar world, countered Western "neocolonial" globalization with real integration and called for "building a symphony of human civilizations."

On the politics of the West

• The West lays claim to all the resources of mankind, and the "rule-based order" it proposes is designed to allow it to live without rules at all. He is incapable of single-handedly managing humanity, but is desperately trying to do so, with which "the majority of the peoples of the world no longer want <...> to put up with it."

• The West put power over the world at stake in its game, but "this game is certainly dangerous, bloody and <...> dirty": "It denies the sovereignty of countries and peoples, their originality and uniqueness, does not put the interests of other states."

• The West must remember - "the one who sows the wind <...> will reap the whirlwind." He and the new centers of the multipolar world will have to start an equal conversation about a common future, and "the sooner the better."

On the Crisis of Liberalism

• Modern liberalism has changed beyond recognition, to the point of absurdity, when alternative points of view are declared subversive, and any criticism is perceived as "the machinations of the Kremlin": "Some kind of nonsense, what have they sunk into."

• The neo-liberal model of the world "American style" is experiencing "not a systemic, but even a doctrinal crisis": "They simply have nothing to offer the world, except to maintain their dominance."

• The West's confidence in its infallibility is dangerous, since it is one step away from "the desire of the most infallible to simply destroy those they do not like, as they say," cancel ". But history will put everything in its place and "cancel" those who, why decided that he had the right to dispose of world culture at his own discretion.
