In October 2011, Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli's rented house caught fire at 1 AM because he and his friends were shooting fireworks out of his bathroom window. He had to flee the house as fire crews arrived to put out the blaze.


​The craziest part? The very next day was the Manchester Derby against their biggest rivals, Manchester United. Not only did Balotelli start the match, but he also scored twice in a historic 6-1 thrashing at Old Trafford. After scoring the opening goal, he casually lifted his jersey to reveal a freshly printed t-shirt underneath that simply read: "Why Always Me?".


​To top it all off, just days later, he was named the official ambassador for a local firework safety campaign in Manchester!
