The Digital Asset Tax Certainty Act would clarify crypto tax treatment, ease burdens on small transactions and extend existing financial tax rules to digital assets.
The bill sets a $10 small-transactions threshold and provides specific tax treatment for qualifying dollar stablecoins and small network and transaction fees.
It also addresses mining, staking and wash sale rules. The tax bill still needs approval from the full House.
