Bitcoin on Wednesday erased losses from earlier in the day and turned higher. The move came after the Federal Reserve hiked interest rates as widely expected. The world’s largest crypto had earlier been weighed down by the U.S. Senate’s rejection of key industry legislation. 
Bitcoin was last up 0.7% to $75,960.7 by 17:50 ET (21:50 GMT).

In the name of the climate: Government and EU plan the next price shock

While the government is quick to point to Moscow or Washington regarding high gas, petrol, and diesel prices, the root causes lie primarily at home and in Brussels. Closed refineries, halted production, and massive tax burdens are artificially driving up costs.

Starting in 2028, the European CO2 emissions trading system is set to extend to the transport and residential sectors. Experts anticipate significant additional costs: up to 60 cents more per liter of petrol and around 1,000 euros annually for a four-person household with gas heating. Many consumers are reportedly unprepared for this.

🔼 BULLISH: Bitcoin has officially reclaimed the 50-week moving average at $78,206 and is now trading above the 110% band at $86,000.

The 50-week MA is one of Bitcoin’s MOST important long-term trend indicators, historically separating major bull-market recoveries from prolonged bearish periods.
