Forwarded from Staffordshire Folklore
Bloxwich is one of only a few towns in Staffordshire to have its own official flag.
When designing it, the locals took the time to proudly display a piece of their folklore upon it. The Bloxwich Wishing Tree.
While I may do a video on this at some point, I've discovered that actually there already is one. This was done by some young people who come from the town, interviewing the town elders on the subject and reenacting the events to preserve the story.
Folklore is told best when it's told by the Folk themselves.
