During the Younger Dryas period which ended 11,600 years ago, it is estimated from the annually-banded Greenland ice-core that the annual-mean temperature increased by as much as 10ยฐC in 10 years.
This was entirely due to natural phenomena. By contrast according to an โongoing temperature analysis led by scientists at NASAโs Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), the average global temperature on Earth has increased by at least 1.1ยฐ Celsius (1.9ยฐ Fahrenheit) since 1880. The majority of the warming has occurred since 1975, at a rate of roughly 0.15 to 0.20ยฐC per decade (Although this can be easily disputed).โ This recent warming we are led to believe is due to human emissions of green house gasses.
The concern and anxiety appears to be overwhelmingly disproportionate towards anthropogenic warming when natural climatic shifts have been magnitudes greater in much shorter time spans.

Good to see the tradition of โtelling the beesโ being upheld still. Buckingham Palace has 5 hives and some 20,000 bees in each one. The Royal Beekeeper has informed them of the Queenโs death.
It was always customary for the owners of bees to inform the hive of important family events, such as births, marriages and deaths. Failure to do so would result in bad luck or the bees leaving the hive and not returning.
