On Wednesday, I risk being sentenced to prison for writing about one of your perpetrators. I'm glad you don't have to see how our authorities continue to reward the men who so callously destroyed your life.
But the people, Petra. The people were with you. I'm glad I got to know you before your death. That we got to hand out gifts worth nearly 200,000 kronor and show a loving greeting from Pernilla Wahlgren.
Beloved friend. Forgive us for how society treated you. And forgive me for not being there for you more.

One of the perpetrators was deported. The other remains and continues to commit new crimes. As recently as last year, he was sentenced to prison for assaulting a 16-year-old girl. The same day, he attacked again. That victim was knocked unconscious, suffered a concussion, and has lasting impairments like vision loss.
From prison (!) the man then got help to file a police report against me for gross defamation. And when the trial took place last week, he refused to take any responsibility at all for Petra's death. Instead, he screamed wildly, addressed me as "the perpetrator," and eventually had his microphone turned off before storming out.
I just can't comprehend why our authorities spend millions of kronor to give these ruthless individuals vindication?
