Spanish police have arrested a 42-year-old Moroccan migrant accused of abducting and violently assaulting his 36-year-old Brazilian girlfriend, holding her against her will for two days.
The alarm was raised after the woman’s mother received photographs showing her bloodied and with severe facial injuries.
Police went to a home in Leganés, Madrid, but the suspect put the woman in a car and fled toward Portugal before officers could arrest him.
When police intercepted the vehicle, they found the woman in the back seat with bloodstained clothing, multiple injuries and burns inside her mouth inflicted with a cigarette.

Ahmed Alabdallah, St Helens, is a convicted paedophile, he was found in possession of indecent images, and, a few days ago, was found roaming freely around children’s parks in St Helens.
He is deaf, has a wife and five children, and depends on benefits paid for by British taxpayers.
He was sentenced in 2023 to 16 months in prison, suspended for two years.
After this video was recorded it turned out he had an unregistered mobile phone on him. Due to his order he must register any mobile, or any device, within three days to his offender manager.
He's subsequently been arrested for breaching his Sexual Harm Prevention Order...
